  • after quite some time, i finally managed to snag a cd copy of ^these b-sides^.

the one that i still have to acquire is the ultra-elusive "mazzy star -- the other side." on the rare occasion it comes up for bid, it goes for a fortune

  • same here. I tried to find the cd, even second hand ... nothing ! still got it on tape but no player to listen to it :/

  • I boought this when it came out in 94. I didn't have enough for the whole record so i just got the single. I got the album as a young adult, and now its soooo hard to find this... Sometimes not havin' money is good, i guess.

  • WISH SHE WAS MY WIFE...

  • it was a limited time special promo...only 4 tracks on it...used copies are for sale on ebay from time to time...

  • Thanks for posting. Finally, after years, one of their most overlooked songs gets some recognition.

    5*

  • This is the first Mazzy Star CD I bought. This has to be one the most played (by me) songs I've ever owned. Mystic and haunting, I can hear over and over again. Fantastic in it's simplicity with her perfect voice. Where did all the good music go?

  • Jebby16: Ditto. All the good music disappeared from the mainstream after the mid 90s. I remember the days when PJ Harvey, Nirvana, NIN, Radiohead, REM, Mazzy Star, My Bloody Valentine, Jeff Buckley, and rock artists from all genres were part of the mainstream. Those days of the mainstream are long gone.

Now, you have to search deep for good rock music or you have to search in the past.

All in all, I am glad to have experienced the rock renaissance of the the early/mid 90s.

  • @Lossforwords78 So true!

  • AMEN!

  • thanks :o)
