  • Great to see more and more gensets of Lister are put on the web. I own a Lister ST3 / Ecc 10kW combi made by Hawker-Siddeley for Brittisch Telecom. I run my farm in France from it when power fails (and that happens between 3 to 10 times per year!). Magnificant piece of technology and still 100% reliable! See also my site lamoer dot fr

Best regards from France by Erwin

  • Hello, can you tell me what would be price of working Lister JP3 with generator but without trailer? Not mint condition but good and working. I'm asking because i had one and it got stolen so i need to know what it is worth. I can't find any info on that... Thank you

  • Selling my JP4 on sat 14th Aug at Driffield Steam Fair Sale

  • i have the same engine mint condition all original 20 kw it take 20 liter of diesel to run about 10 hours fully loaded

  • Nice! I love the Lister WD sets. It seems quite a few units made it to Australia but you are lucky to have one complete on its trailer. I hope you have as much fun with it as I have with mine. Do you take it to shows or use it to power stuff?

  • It runs great.

What is the electric heater in the radiator side?

  • A lot of standby generators have heaters so the water (and oil sometimes) is always at temperature for full power supply straight from start.

  • So its basicly a heater to keep the generator in standby temperatures all year long.

Where is the conection to the geater?

Does it have a switch somewhere?

  • I can't speak about this specific one - i don't own it - but normally mains or battery supplied with thermostats inside the water jacket

  • On my lister its a 230volts 5000watts heater on the radiator side and i have allways wondered what it did and since it was on the radiator i didnt think it was a engine hater and i dont find any connections to it.

  • Sur eyou don't mean 500 or 50 watts? Never seen a 5Kw heater - even on a set we did for Russia once

  • no its 5000watts. Thats one more reason why i was wondering why it was on the radiator.

A normal engine heater is 500watts....

The electric wire goes inside the controll board....

Maybe its a kind of power waster in case of overpower failure?

  • you can get 20 kw 3 phase electric space heaters
