bhoywhonder2000 - what a great observation. There was real musical talent in Les. So much so that he could subvert it and make it pant wettingly funny. I have just watched some Les piano playig on YT and some 'Blankety Blank' and I think he was honestly one of the most underrated comics of the last century. there is such intelligence and warmth in his work. He could be utterly caustic but never offensive. His was a unique talent.
