I hate to say it, but I've never been impressed with anything from dw. I don't care for the sound of their drums much and their hardware, which everyone thinks is so great, isn't. The chrome has peeled off of every stand I've ever owned and the bass drum beater on the 9000 pedal...and the shit is expensive! I prefer hardware from Tama or Pearl and Pearl's pedals are great. Gretsch, Ludwig, and Yamaha are the best drums imo. Ray's kit sounds great though.
