  • wyotech suck here in los angeles... we cant work on our own cars anymore

  • sounds good other than its running on one rotor!!! come wyotech

  • lol omg thats not backfire your fucking retarded. thats afterfire first off. its unburnt exhaust gasses that are igniting. backfires would be going through the intake and woulda blown the airbox the fuck off. my SR20DET from the sylvia i got it from afterfired like a bastard after the track tune.

  • brap brap brap brap brap brrfaap brap brap.

    <3 rotary

  • Hope they know it's running like CRAP!...check the Igniter boxes...and timing.

  • @RotorMedic7 could be loading up on fuel, ( front rotor can do this . mine did. unplug plug wires, and spin it, to clear it out. OR id check the timing as well. ive got an 88 rx7 vert ive got to source another 13b for. or do a v8 conversion

  • well why go tech looks just neat

  • gay

  • @scumal quit talking about yourself on the internet

  • unburned fuel right not a backfire?:S

  • it sounds........odd...

  • adjust the air to fuel ratio

  • the reason its doin that is there is absolutely no back pressure and it might be a motor that has been redlined too much i've had trouble with that also if you can't keep consistent oil pressure your motors gonna act funny

  • Im guessing thats the one out of the RX7. It had its waste gates welded together at one time. USED to be attached to a bad ass car.

  • @LexusBrian400 That is a 6 port N/A engine not a Turbo engine

  • it sounds like its missing

  • SpideyFan6010, you claim to know a bit about rotaries but its clearly obvious that you know nothing. pulsar 93 is talking about ignition timing, electronic not mechanical. you can't physically change the mechanical timing of a rotary because the rotor is timed to the eccentric shaft, the rotor wont go in if it isnt timed. Porting changes when the degrees before tdc that the fuel can enter similar to adding a large camshaft to a piston engine, your increasing the overlap hence pp, brigeport idle

  • i'm guessing either plug is shot, or you're losing compression on one of the rotars

  • idk , seems to be a problem with the pistons or the connecting rods

  • are u fucking stupid??!?!?! there are no pistons or conecting rods on a fucking rotary engine. COMPLETELY different

and btw it is a rotary engine u can tell by the 5th and 6th port actuators on the side of the motor.

for those who dont know rotarys. please stfu and learn before you talk. thanks bye

  • green18t was probably joking man

  • um you can tell its rotery by the idle dude. thats a crazy backfire tho

  • one of the rotor plugs is fouled

  • this doesnt sound like a rotary at all to me... ive hear headders before soo either bad sound quality. i could understand because it sounds like a harley that smoked crack and has a wild heart beat haha.

  • So Wyo Tech has a Rotary department? Sign me up then

  • haha not really. They have one rx7 you can use for the tuning comp and that engine on the stand. Thats about it for rotary

  • Never mind then. I wish some of these auto tech schools would offer rotary training. I guess since they don't make up the majority of the engines on the road they just disregard them. I know a lot of people that would sign up if they offered a rotary class but they don't.

  • they'll teach you all you wanna know about wankels...they're not all that complicated. timing was off by 180 i think on that engine for a while, thats why it sounded like ass and backfired like that

  • You do know that rotaries run really rich and they naturally backfire like that right. If you are a wyotech student and you came to that conclusion then they must not be teaching much about rotaries. No offense but you pay a lot of money at those technical schools and you don't get that much in return, And your credits don't transfer if you decide to go else where.

  • dude listen to it !! It sounds like shit...that's not normal, and yeah they run a little rich, but that doesn't change the fact that the timing was off ...That's what we "concluded", and i learned alot there; whats with your animosity? You get kicked out of some tech school or couldn't afford it or something? Chill on the remarks bro when you don't know what you're talking about

  • what r u talking about Animosity. No where in my comment did I say Wyotech sucks or I hate wyotech. The stuff they teach is not any groundbreaking stuff that u can't learn on Ur own. Is it the Resi 13B from a 1st gen or a FC? I know what I am talking about when it comes 2 rotaries. I own 1 and so does my brother.

  • how do you know what they teach? Like I said I learned alot. It's also not just what you're learning but how. The proper procedures, techniques and practice that helps all that info sink in is why i went. Plus I just love cars. Why wouldn't you wanna learn everything about something you love? And i'm pretty sure it was out of an FC. It had fuel injection so yea...weren't the first gens only carbed?

  • I know the GSL are carbed but the GSL-SE is Fuel injected and they used the 13B RESI. My bro just got his GSL so give me some time and I will know more information on them :) It does sound funny though. I would say it sounds like that from porting but It doesn't appear to be ported. It is more of a brap than a low growl at idle.

  • no port done, stock, im telling you - the timing was off...I was in that class and we fixed it

  • @SpideyFan6010 you time it via the e-shaft position sensor if FI, or via the distributor(s) if carbed.

  • @proudbugowner I know. lol. My little bro signed on my youtube account and was making random post on it. I know how a rotary works I have 2 RX-7

  • @SpideyFan6010 :-D

Two RX7s? Then you are a very happy man! :-)

    I am half as happy as you. :-D :-D :-D :-D

  • @proudbugowner No I am just twice as broke lol

  • @SpideyFan6010 Hahahahahahaha!!!
