@A2ZDemise lol! Mostly because it was completely impromptu. This was the first take and when I started, I had no idea what I'd be talking about by the time I got to the end of the video. And by the time I finished saying all of the points I wanted to hit, hey look! 10 minutes had gone by!
I dont have a clip of me doing the cut but I've been trying to figure out how to do it for a while and before this vid I watched almost 10 others...this one is by far the best! Thank you so much! The time you spent going over every step and where all the fingers should be made all the difference...I was able to follow along the 1st time I watched and was able to do the cut within 15min. Much appreciation!!!
Im going to a party the next week with my friends. And I'm planning to do a trick for them, but what trick should i perform? I have been doing card magic for a year and I'm pretty good at it.
This is how a tutorial should be made. Clear video, with very specific instructions on how to position each finger and the correct times to do it. Steady hand, no weird camera angles, and a calm voice in very slow paces. Great!
Sorry if someone has already pointed this out, but this technique is actually not correct. Sure it works but its not the best way to do this great move.
Your ring finger needs to be moving underneath the top packet while pushing the bottom packet back. The thumb then pushes the top packet forward until the ring and pointer can stradle it.
This technique offers many advantages. Its smoother and makes advanced stuff easier.
I don't mean this in a bad or arrogant way, I just want you to know.
@DavidBlanch0 Thanks for the comments! I think it depends on your hand size. For me, the technique demonstrated in the video works perfectly in all situations in which I need a full or partial revolution cut to be executed. That in mind, I have also been told that I have very long fingers, and so for individuals with shorter fingers, they will probably benefit greatly from the tactic you've described.
Please make a video response demonstrating your thoughts!!
@SuperMastermind3000 its fine if you dont have, i had watch other tutorials last time and thought i need big hands for this too, but after i watch this tut, i can do it slowly already. Try it with half a deck 1st :)
Great Revolution One Handed Cut Tutorial!!!...Much appreciated I got it down in under 30 min...Great explanation!!!...The explanation was a HUGE help man... I'm sick of all the tutorials with music instead of explaining, I still get it down but it takes longer and I miss out on some great tips very frustrating (for me at least)...Keep putting up tutorials it's very helpful and much appreciated...Thanxxx
Thank you, I have been working on this for a week. I learned it from a DVD but had no idea what to do with my pointer finger. That curling part helped. Thank a lost man! Subscribed!!!
@Rocker4092 Thanks for pointing that out!! I had written the description in notepad and I guess I never bothered to check it once I copied and pasted it to the site! Should be there at the bottom of the description now.
AMAZING!! SIMPLY FCKING BEAUTIFUL :) This cut has been the most frustrating thus far out of all the ones i've tried yet (i started last week) but still, this tut really saved me tons of time wasting my life watching the other tuts over and over again bro, thanks
@SimLees Go for it! You could always disable comments on it. Nobody should expect perfection. I think its a big accomplishment to be able to do this cut, no matter how slow.
There is an excellent book by a guy named Gary klein. he is some sort of cognitive psychologist type guy. He teaches how to "copy cat" masters of different tasks. An expert nurse, pool player, surgeon. whatever field whatever task.
i think this book is likely to resonate with you. Sources of power.
Patience, respect for people, attention to detail. I bet you you can teaching anything you know. I also bet you have very nice and caring relationships with more than a few people. Your parents must be proud of you as a person. Thank you, that was a very refreshing lesson.
Thanks! I actually designed the backs and bicycle printed the cards. There's a site that you can go to if you've got a design and bicycle will print it for you bicuclecustomcards or something.
First i gotta say: find the post earlier on where I talked a little about how the cards are; it might change your mind. Second: It's $20 for 1 deck, but if you buy 2 (I think) theres a coupon to get a third free.
for fucks sake finally! other tutorial videos on here have music on the video or its filmed on a retarded angle, or all they say is "like that" and dont know what they're talking about.
Thanks for the comment! Very true, in the madonna you want to be using the index finger to push that packet into the base of your thumb. This way you don't have to rely on the top of the thumb to hold the packet in place and thus, it can be used for other things. However, since the spinning packet in the madonna is not coming from your left hand, I believe that the setup of the revolution cut warrants using the thumb a bit more because of the way the "thumb-grabbed" packet sits in the left hand.
Hmm... I guess I didn't realize that the Madonna was a Dan and Dave cut from The System. I'd rather not make a tutorial of it for that reason; it's theirs to teach. I'm not sure who the revolution belongs to lol. Sorry man.
As a tip, try straightening up your pointer after you start the spinning. For me it makes that packet swing around faster into place.
Maybe I'll make a vid just providing a couple of tips for that part of the cut. I haven't seen the D and D tutorial for the cut though.
this tutorial is completly awesome:) I don't see why some people don't like watching it because its is long, for myself I love tutorials that are long and detailed. In fact, that is why I clicked on this video, because I saw it was 9 minutes long lol. Thanks for your help:) - Benjamin T-P
Sure. They are custom :) I designed the backs to them and Bicycle printed them. You can make your own on bicyclepersonalizedcards . com. I recommend them for sybil-type routines or aerial moves, but they do NOT fan well even out of the box. They just aren't meant for it. I have a few other designs too. Let me know if you're interested in seeing them.
Sorry for the delayed response... I couldn't figure out why my comment wouldn't post. turns out having "something . com" (without the spaces) will not post! I tried a few times over the past couple weeks, but only now looked up the youtube help to see what was up.

So if u design a deck it didn't have the air cushion finish ??

@MysteryCloseUp That's right. They have some sort of finish on them, but it is not nearly as slick as an air cushion or a UV500 finish.
