Guys, please do not listen to this idiot. Surface filtration at a given retention (micron) is always more effecient that depth filtration at the same given micron retention. A surface filter is not always 1/16" of an inch as he stated. A K&N has a more lofted media that measures out to about 1/8" . Still, surface filtration is meant to be caught on the surface and as dirt builds up (filter cake) the captured partials will actually extend the life/filter particulate before it hits the media
What a brilliant video, I wish all boy racers would watch this! I took a K&N off as when it is used with a diesel turbo is sandblasts the turbo blades and engine. K&N lie about filtration which is why I choose not to damage my car with them. A paper element hI'as a much bigger surface area but your filter looks quite good. Why don't people realise that a paper or foam filter will always pass more air than the engine can use! Where do I buy your filter from in the UK?
Does anyone know how I can contact True Flow??? I tried to google them, but I just get directed to different wholesalers. If someone knows of a contact number or website, please let me know.
These filters are indeed very good. Amsoil has been making them for decades and I have used them for a very long time on many motors & vehicles. JUST BUYER BEWARE. True Flow went out of business right after I bought my dodge Ram intake system. It caused $600.00 worth of damage by rubbing up against one of my A/C hoses. Replacement was required. $186- parts + 3 hours labor + A/C system service & recharge.
Excellent question. All vehicles that have an internal combustion engine need air for the fuel in the engine to combust. By allowing your engine to breath better, you increase it's efficiency to burn fuel, thus increasing the efficiency of your engines performance.

these intakes work very good i bought one for a 07 5.7l tundra it brings out alot more hp more than any other intake brand plus it gets better mpg my tundra is getting more than 25 mpg highway it also gives a good sound hope this helped anybody
@highlandsucks K&N pay a lot of money for advertising. Most companies pick a target market and use clever marketing strategies to keep pushing for sales. The chances are that if you see a vehicle racing over dusty conditions, you will think a K&N is good and buy one. What you don't see if how often they have to be changed or the state of the engine afterwards from being sandblasted. Filtration is very important, do you know how fast a turbo spins. Most blown ones are on cars with mesh filters.
We've independently had True Flow demonstrate their filters to us just like they did in this video and I can tell you from personal experience that they indeed do what they claim they do. You can't get a more efficient filter period!
@GoldenFuelSystems this video was EDITED. And YOU are supposed to compare them. Not True flow. the Gauze filter probably didn't even have any oil on it.

Man, you're missing a lot of sales because your website is in such poor condition. I just gave up.
Try it yourself then go to the KN website and see the difference in concern for their customers.
If this is truly a better product, it should have customer service to match, don't you think?

Do they make a cold air and filter kit for a 2004 Government Motors Corp. Savana with 6.0 liter?

i have a question what about the tube from my head to the intake tube, the one that everyone puts a filter on... is that important?
imadethistowatchvide 2 years ago
the bad thing about foam filters is that it traps sooo much dirt that you have to constantly be cleaning it. i estimate every 10,000miles
