First off, the US isn't fighting Cuba. There hasnt been a military conflict there since the Bay of Pigs. The Cuban economy is a skeleton of what it was under Batista and this is due in most part because of Castros policies of expropriating private property rather than subsequent US sanctions. Almost all the industry and big business (such as Bacardi) fled when Castro took office. A true independent nation shouldn't need US trade relations to survive. Facts aren't based on conjecture...a fact needs to be supported by evidence to be called a 'fact'. It seems unlikely that the US would travel thousands of miles to Somalia to dump waste in there waters. As opposed to the convenience of international waters if this toxic dumping is a common practice. But if there is actual data or at the very least some indication to the contrary, then state it here.
