Instead of an answer I will ask a question. Does people committing crimes in cities hundreds of miles away effect you personally? However it is still wrong, is it not? What if everyone took the approach of "well it doesn't personally effect me"? Hundreds of children die every day from mainly preventable causes, but it doesn't really effect you, so why do anything about it? If you were old and needed a leg surgery you wouldn't get the surgery asap even if u have health care that claims it'll give u certain things in case of accidents (ex health insurance, accident insurance, etc).

If a child is conceived through incest, they now have to live with possible mental disorders and numerous health problems. Polygamy can spread STDs easier and quicker. Homosexuality does nothing of the sort (and dont say anything about AIDS, because anybody can get AIDS, and at the same rate any gay person could).

Another excuse people use to denounce gay marriage is because it isn't "traditional" and its definition is "one man and one woman." Really? Definitions for words are changed all the time, or are altered to include other definitions. Ironically, one of those words is gay. Its older definition meant happy and gleeful, and now its used to more commonly used to define a person who is homosexual. I see no reason why gay marriage shouldnt happen. So basically there's more govt control with deciding who getsthe surgery based on their overall health, NOT their need. I believe it is simply selfishness. It might cut into tax breaks for "normal" couples. I enjoy the breaks myself so I'm not biased. The same selfishness happens across the board. If it potentially keeps someone from riches, they will vote it down. They wont admit it because that would be morally wrong, so what you hear is the cover up response. This is not limited to this subject or religious people, anyone that has something to hide will turn the focus to something else.

@Reggiekillabeast the bible doesn't say anything about only being able to marry one women. If you read the bible, you will see it was ok to marry as many as you wanted and it was ok to treat them as objects. Also, the bible is not a good source to use, since we know the world is round and not flat.
Also, if marrige is a "religious procces" then why is it ok for ppl who aren't religious to marry? Seems you don't leave your house much or go on the net often.

Since marriage is supposed to be being faithful to your spouse, it seems like the ideas of gays getting married would significantly reduce the spread of AIDS (If what your saying is true) But it mostly sounds like you have a problem with homosexuality itself rather than the marriage concept of it.
