Sometimes you almost remind me of a modern-day Lefty Frizzell or Steve Earle in the way you seamlessly string your lyrics together. This is such a good song, I am just so impressed with the cutting honesty of your lyrics.

Lyrics like these fit your wonderful voice so well, too. I've always thought that your voice had the kind of soothing masculine beauty of a Waylon Jennings, Don Williams, or Burl Ives. I wish Burl was still around and could cover this. The result could've been incredible.
