@hites97 It's very simple to get the pushback voices, skip to about 10:05 in episode 7 and you'll see it :) The V1 voice through the aircraft is done by going into PMDG SETUP>AIRCRAFT>EQUIPMENT and finding the V1 callout option and the pilot calling v1, rotate and v2 came with the ngx service pack.
Hello Fsxpilot767 thank you for uploading these great tutorials. I'm intrested what add-on do you use for moving around the cockpit so frely. Thank you.
Hey Bro, Gotta 1 Question - man, when descending or climbing, don't you have to enter ALT on mcp from FMC, (following Waypoint ALT's ) when flying whith VNAV? and when you entering it, have you just to enter it or also press the button right it...? PLZ Answer, ...
@cst1908 yes, once you've inserted it, go back to the first route page and there should be a function to save the route under a code name and then in future you can enter in the name under 'COmpany ROUTE' on that page and it will be loaded automatically, thanks for watching, hope I could help :)
@pcpilot737ngx ohk, this is very simple: in the LEGS page select the waypoint after the one you are 'holding at' and then place it where the 'HOLD AT' waypoint currently is... press the execute button and your done! Hope this helps... soon I might make a tutorial on features such as holds :)
very good video mate,do you have a video up how you programm your fmc for a target ? if not,do you know any good ones ? im currently struggling with the fmc :o
@fsxpilot767 if you program the FMC with your target altitude and target speed, do you still need to use the auto pilot panel or does it change it automatically?
@ZepaaDzn yes, the altitude must be changed, as long as the route is followed in LNAV then the heading doesn't need to be changed, and as long as climb/cruise/descent are all in VNAV then speed doesn't have to be changed either :)
Could you provide with just an example on how to set up the whole FMC route etc pre flight? That would make it a whole lot eaiser to wrap my head around this, after watching your tutorial I got most systems working, but the approach failed so I had to go around and do a manual ILS
@Alex13N Yes! That's in the plan for this tutorial. I've already made episode 5 and 6 which will both be up tomorrow and detail how to set up the aircraft and then before Christmas I hope to have got to the stage where the whole flight has been completed so that will cover everything you might want :)
@FSXpilot767 awesome! hehe :) im glad, I felt like a true pro wandering on in my default 737-800 from FSX, then I jump into this thing and its an entirely new world, and even though ive played since 2006 I feel like a newbie. hehe
@Alex13N hahaha same! I've been playing for even longer and because I want to be an airline pilot I decided to learn more about the real aircraft and like you quickly realised that even FSX wasn't like real life! (although it was much better than FS9!) so reading the real manuals enabled me to make these tutorials as I already knew what everything did :P
@FSXpilot767 lol :P on my first time trying before watching your tutorial the plane went into glideslope 100 feet after takeoff.. enough said *cough* second try, it approached the airport as usual, but it expected to "land" 10,000 feet above the runway...... oh well, lol.
Got the hang of it now though :) just approaches are a bitch, and its sometimes hard to figure out what ive missed when vNAV and lNav wont engage
@Alex13N hehe yeah, that is the hardest part you're stuck on so it makes sense... well anyways over the next few days/week look out for the upcoming episodes and you may learn some stuff along the way before I get to the descent/approach section :)
@FSXpilot767 I will watch them all :) in fact starting on the preflight one. Thank you so much for doing this, so confused souls like mine may also use the awesomeness that is PMDG xD
@FSXpilot767 (: Also, there is one thing that has me puzzled, in 2004, I tried the PMDG for a short period of time, and I fooled around in a virtual cabin, which I'm unable to find now, did they just not implement that in NGX, or am I missing something?
Ah thank you, i know you are a busy man. I take it you are not working at the moment? If not never mind you will be ok. Thanks again for the great vids, David
@diamond21450 yeah in the FMC go to the PMSG SETUP section and then there is a failures section where you can set a random failure along with hundreds of different failures, it's a great system they've made! :D
@szpirogyra don't worry!!! Wait a week or so until I get back from my holiday and there will be a tutorial on that! :D Thanks for watching, sorry for the wait!
@CessGreen208 Thanks so much! I'm on holiday for a week now so no more uploading 'til I get back but in a week or so watch out for many more episodes to come!! =D
@Nangorabs after this series I will definitely consider it but I'm not sure I know fully myself, I know all the basic functions so I could brand it as a basic tutorial :P
Just a tip, maybe i would do a tut from ground and setting everything from begging, it would be easier to understand... But just idea ;) Good vid tho!
@discojockey007 Don't worry that will be later here's a plan of the series: Episode 1+2 already uploaded; Episode 3 Autoflight systems (uploaded tomorrow); Episode 4 overhead panel and pedestal; Episode 5 onwards the 'Flight' section which will be lots of episodes starting a flight from cold'n'dark right the way through to being cold'n'dark at the destination. As requested I will also show the shutdown procedure for 'through' stops. Hope this answers your question! :D
@discojockey007 PS- I'm only doing this to make the flight easier to understand: I will explain all the SYSTEMS in these episodes and the PROCEDURES when I'm doing the flight that way you know both how the a/c works but also how to operate it realistically, thanks for watching and supporting this series!!! :P
@discojockey007 I knew this was what everyone wanted! Now you know what the pages do and how they work, next I will show you the autoflight (will be up tomorrow)!! :D
Nice tutorial :D
Just one question:
How do you turn on the voice for the pushback talk, V1 voice etc. etc. ? :)
