I'm pretty good with what you're sayng, exept for one thing, you keep repeating this "the universe willing itself into existence" thing and I don't get that at all. I mean the universe isn't alive or sentient is it ? I don't know what that means.
@randomMarvelDCguy Its that before the big bang there was nothing, then a huge explosion and the universe is created. There is no way it just did that for no reason.
@ThnxProductions Who cares how many planets are 'capable of supporting life?' that doesn't mean that random lifeless particles are any more capable of creating life from nothingness.
It doesn't matter how much food, water, wood-shavings, and toys you put in a hamster cage: You still wont get a hamster in a trillion years unless you go buy one to put in it.
And also, your comments about life coming from billion degree rocks, do remember that the progression of life was linear, we started as simple chemicals formed by the productions of elements (which is made by heating hydrogen to massive temperatures causing nucleur fusion) and these chemicals became self-replicating.

Hmmm, I know this video is really old now, but I felt like replying anyway. But first, thank you for not telling us all we're going to hell, I appreciate that.
The way I see it, why is it so inconceivable to think that the universe has ALWAYS existed?
I mean, just because we can't understand it, does not mean it can't happen.
And there is evidence to suggest that before the big bang there was another universe, and that this universe is heading towards it's own big bang.
I agree you cant explain the universe WILLING itself into existence. But at the same time you cant explain a god or supreme being WILLING them self into existence. That is why i have thought of a solution to meet both theories half way. The Universe is God and God is the Universe. Its the only logical solution considering we know nearly nothing about either one, other then the fact that both are as far as we know infaliable. The human mind cannot and should not try to rationalize them, you cant.
God or Osiris, a Bubbah dude, there's gotta be something there that we don't know and will NEVER know about until we die.
I also agree with the hole science thing...it's very close to the truth and finding out stuff. But some stuff just isn't ment to be figered out, we just have to face the facts that there are some/a lot of things we are wasteing our time on.
Great. But how you do explain a universe WILLING itself into existence, followed by a billion-degrees cooling and life just magically appears? It's scientifically impossible.
God is a invention of man. Time is a invention man. Your belief is nothing but an assumtion. When your having a panic attack the brain releases chemicals to make you feel good, srry but your beliefs are ridicious, you are an irrational person. Science is the closest thing to the truth we have, because they are solely based on facts.
Oh I think you are right, though. More people die in the name of god than just about anything else. Obesity may catch up soon if we don't change something.
What I think is stupid with religions, is that they preach Peace. One religion has many gods, and another has one god. They usually end up fighting, trying to prove which one is the 'better' religion.
I'm not religious, but I don't want to offend anyone. I made an example, I know that all religions war against each other, and I am not implying that Religious people are violent, killing senselessly.

step 1 : quantum fluctuations
step 2 : Big bang
step 3 : Abiogenesis
step 4 : Evolution
Hope that helps

trillion year path the universe happens to have taken.
I mean, there are BILLIONS of planets, is it so strange to think that a couple of hundred were going to be capable of supporting life?
And space, well space is an adventure man!
I'd love to see other planets, and witness the wonders of the universe, I mean, we only live once.
That's just my view, I'm not forcing it on you or anyone, I'm just giving you the other side of the arguement :)

this guy is not ranting. he is struggling with his own misunderstanding of the very topics he is discussing. he has no answers, only questions.

Ah so you and god are tight and you have ALL the answers. Gotcha.
