Don't bash on distance. Personally today. With conditions it was 20 degrees out. Cold as hell, and it hurts mishitting blades in warm weather sometimes...ouch. Anywho. This par 5. 5 iron lay up- Pitch type swing to 100 yards. A tee off earlier on the 350 yard par 4. 5 iron to the 150- 200 yards, and second 5 iron 150- no clubs are used for ONE shot. That includes putter and DRIVER.

Hogan just about never tried to hit an iron full-out. At full strength, he could hit it out there with an average-long hitter (not stupid-long), but he really believed that backing off at least one club, sometimes even more, and giving it that little controlled pass would get him closer to the hole more often, impart less sidespin potential, etc.

He might hit a 9-iron or even a half-looking 8 from 115 or 120 (at the old lofts, with the old shaft types and lengths and the old ball, etc.) while other people were hitting wedges, but all that mattered to him was where it ended up.

@cockywatchman1976, TEM, did that to all the videos that were uploaded under the HynoDesigns channel. Since they are custom videos, old vhs tape clips mixed to music, it was pretty much not legal. When the channel was closed couldn't fight them on the charges. They just kept going after each video and filing strikes until YouTube closed it down.
