Barefoot Water skiing

I tried this 4 times today n i just gota bunch of water up my nose evory time.

And i couldent get out of the water the boat only goes 32 miles per hour. Do i need a faster boat. or am i just doin it wrong and are you suposed to wear nose plugs or somethen?

@bonerears Ya you might want a faster boat 32 is pretty slow for learning behind the boat. You want to try it on a boom first, that helps you learn quicker. As for the water, that happens to everyone. Some people wear nose plugs or tape their nose, I just exhale when the boat goes, eventually the water goes away.

@footin247 We just got the boat from my uncle for free and my dad took it in to get it fixed and it only costed 100 bucks we couldent beleive it evin worked.

I never tried regular skiing yet il probly try it with the skiis on the next time i go on the boat but im thinkin of takein barefoot waterskiing lessons would a place thatd teach regular water skiing probley teach how to barefootski?

yea it is pretty hard you gotta go about 35-40 on some good water. you can either start on the boom (superman position) or long rope (deep water start)

i have a question and please dont insult me...how do you get up for barefoot skiing...i can get up on normal skis and wakeboard but i dont know how to get up barefoot

From what I understand you have to basically ride with your feet hooked onto the tow rope until you get at a high enough speed then stand up and hope you stay up. But you take in a lot of water for the first bit because you have to drag in the water until you hit the right speed. Your ass will probably hurt too haha. So you can go that way, or you can drop your skiis which seems harder.

part of it is on my ski teams lake in Conover WI on lake pleasant the team is the Chain Skimmers and the rest is on a bunch of different lakes in northern WI

you go up to clearlake at all, its in this state forest campgroundits a nice lake, but a lil rough for barefootalthough a bay in the back of the lake is good. thats where we go... but also in the early morning around 8 or 9 its pretty smooth all around.
