I like that they didn't get married. It makes it less fairy tale and more adventure. Thanks for the upload...and the SUBTITLES! :) It's so hard finding videos with subtitles.
To me there is no fun between running around and hiding, you will get to old for that childish shit. Instead of being in power and making change she chose to do nothing. Now she's going to have to raise confused children.
When I saw the name "Princess of thieves" I was like omg this is going to be another story of robin hood.....the scene/ part that we have never seen before and I was right :) ***_long live the king_***
May gwyn be with the king forever and may their love stay true :)
I've never heard of this movie so I clicked on this final part, but is that Sam Worthington from Terminator & Avatar? It looks like him just younger, but I like him now wayyyy better.
If I wanted a history lesson, I would have stayed awake in class. I wanted a cheesy, old school 'boy meets girl' romance. Maybe I can watch it again and skip the last part?
and then the actress who played Gwyn, later becomes more famous by playing the famous Elizabeth Swan, in my favorite pirate series EVER!, in...Pirates of the Carribean.
@swordfreak16 Where did you get that??? There was no fact to left out - because there have never been a "King Philip" in England. The filmmakers have installed the character Philip as the son of Richard Lionheart. There have been rumours about the homosexuality of Richard.
I'm glad they didn't get married...she would probably be seen more as a lady in the sexist eyes of that time, and had to stay around the castle doing queen things and poppin' out little royal brats. With her not having that particular title, she can now be closer to him in a different way, horseback riding along the country side..and... stuff
besides, they still may have had their secret romantic encounters- leaves imagination to fanfiction (;
I hate historically inaccurate these kind of films are Prince John did become King - he rule was restrained by Magna Carta then it went to Henry 3rd. not this a bad film, just wish they would choose a villian who didn't actually get the thing they wanted in reality.
i view the end like this, they didn't get married. which sucked but i imagine them secretly meeting in the middle of the night and playing prince and princess. :3
Wasn't Robin Hood of nobel blood and got back his lands after Richard returned to English throne? Gwyn was a daughter of a knight and a lady, not a common thief, i think they mixed something up ... Gwyn and Philippe could get married :D
Dude What about Robin Hood; I mean there are parts of this movie where he looks at his daughter and sees his wife Marion. Especially at the end when Philp comes riding in on the horse; you can totally tell as Gywin turns her head Robin is reminded of his wife. Now that is my personal opnion on saddness. If anyone thinks other wise it's ok I'm not trying to tell you what to think. Stuart Wilson, the only Robin Hood....besides russel crow and Cary Elwis
thanks for uploading....is so sad that Gwyn is came from the peasant family not in a royal family....she could marry the king..........but she still happy with her father serving the king:)
one of my favorite movie now.. she's so pretty, i like her! I love the ending..sad yet realistic.. Its like an everlasting proof of their true love..can't believe she's just 15 here!
I actually really like the ending :) gwyn is free to lead the life she always wanted, following her fathers footsteps. And Phillip never marrying and pledging himself to her is very sweet and it means they could still be together without the pressure and intrigue of court life if they had married. I think they were both very wise to be happy not to marry.
I literally wasted 85 minutes of my life. I thought: "Which film has got a happy end so that i am happy afterwards?".. chose this film... an BAD shoice (just the ending)
why no typical disney 'love and get married and stay together forever after' ending????? T^T this is the one and only time i've actually legitimately wished for a totally and utterly irrational ending to a movie...
Am I the only one thinking of the fact that Kiera was 16 when this movie was made, Stephen Moyer was 32... (The times were different and all that, but still... It was made in modern time and it couldn't have been fun for either one of the actors...)
She should have the birth right because according to most of the movies her mother was the cousin of King Richerd and her father the lord of Locksley Hall. So that should not only make noble, but blood related to the late King through her mother.

I've noticed two things on this part that I don't think anyone else has:
1. They spelt Keira's surname wrong in the credits-it's Knightley, not Knightly
2. Gwyn never actually tells Philip her name but he seems to somehow know it anyway throughout the film
I find it really hard to believe that only one person out of the thousands who have watched this wonderful movie has noticed these things!!!
