Just curious, did you finish all the workouts at the beginnign cause I can't get to the ened, and i'm worried i won't see results, I just started and i'm on day 5 and had around 15 minutes of legs and back left.
Wow dude, just by watching this video it was a huge motivator for me to loose weight. I used to weigh 170lbs but gained a ton of weight and now i am towering in at 234. Out of this, P90, insanity and the 10 min trainer which would you reccomend and which do you think will make me loose the fastest?
@mattmatt16 if your goal is to strictly lose weight, then probably the best thing to do is to do Insanity and focus 100% on diet part of it. Have to say though, that Insanity is probably the hardest program of them all and is mostly cardio. P90x will get you more all around fit and I'd recommend this over Insanity for a program for full body workout, but it is not easy either. If you put 100% into it and diet, you will get results.
dude, great job. and i love the info. you've been able to give everyone with their questions...
...however, i do have one small thing that bugs me...when you do your biceps pose (front or back) turn your hands toward your body, it will make your biceps peak more and really stand out...lol...sorry it's just a little thing that bugs me.
@kiwis2bubbles1 well u shud gets weights and a pull up bar, cuz eventualy u get to a point were u can do pullups and it kick ass, and lets say u use hte arm bands for back workouts, u shud atleast try to do 10 chin ups everyday until u can do 10 pull ups, i did that and now i can do 20 pullups with a 10 pound wieght on my back.
im gona do about 1500 cals a day when i start in two weeks...i heard that one p90x workout burns about (on average) 600 cals...so im gona be going on 900 cals a day after the workout...technically speaking i should see some real results in terms of weight loss, right?
I'm guessing your calorie # is off unless you weigh like 100 lbs. P90x will have a formula for you to determine your calorie count. I think P90x burns 600 cal per day, so you need to add that many to your total - but their formula will tell you. It also will tell you which groups, so read and study it carefully before you begin so you get the best results the first round! Good luck!
Not only do you burn the 600 calories from working out, but your body has to use a lot of energy to regenate. The muscles will be exhausted and they will need to be repaired. I am consuming 2800-3200 calories per day and I'm working out like crazy. You can actually burn 20 percent more calories AFTER working out. If you burn 600-700 calories from a workout your body's metabolism will be very high so it will burn another 60-120 calories afterwards; 1500 calories is too few.
I figured out that I burned over 700 calories just from my workout today. I also have a very physical job. From my job I would burn about 500 calories (4 hour shift). Just having afterburn from those activieties I could be burning 120-240 extra calories (this would depend on the food that I have eaten and the overall increases in my metabolism). I have consumed about 2200 calories today and I need to eat my sixth and final meal.
Im aiming for when i reach summer id have a 6 pac.. Now im on my 3rd week check my video out its from week 1-3 and i can diff see difference .. Enjoy!
LOL, assume you are talking about the 'arm circles'! Don't be discouraged, i've done it for a very long time and those still hurt a little towards the end. Your overall strength will grow leaps and bounds! I started out barely being able to do 2 pullups and now I can do over 20 pull-ups in every style (wide, reverse, close-grip). Good luck!
Hey man, You are correct, there is a ONE time fee of $39.95 for your coaches fee(covers your coaches materials and first months fee for your back office and replicated website and Team Beachbody club membership). The NEXT month you will be billed $14.95 for the monthly BB club membership. Only thing you have to do now is have at least 50PV in products/supplements/etc. (You prob. do that already) 1 in PV=aprox. $1. Thats about it. See my website for more details or e-mail me.w/ questions.-sc
Dude, you should SO get on with the Beachbody coaching opportunity. You have a great story and seem to really like helping others. Make money while getting fit and helping others. Hey the 25% discount is good too!
I have recently been getting alot of requests for that. I looked at some material online, but I couldn't find out the "monthly" costs for the program. I saw that it was $40 up front and then the rest was hard to find. Shoot me an email with the details of all the costs and how you have been able to make money doing it - as I'm one of those people unless I know someone that did it I'm always skeptical.
No I did not. I did get rid of almost everything bad - chips, coke, alcohol, snacks, etc. I was probably only doing 1200 calories, so that is why I believe my results were about 75%. I am now halfway through my "real" round following nutrition 100% and the differences are obvious. This to me proves that nutrition is a HUGE part of any workout regiment. I can't wait for the finish line to show the world how much it makes a difference!
I would say that if you are a girl who isn't a "muscle" girl or a guy who can't even do 1 pull-up, there is really no need to have a pull-up bar for your first round of P90x. I used bands for my first P90x, I could do pull-ups but I couldn't do more than about 5 so it worked ok for me too. If you get the P90x bands, you can get a great workout with just them (they show you how to do all the moves with the bands as well - so no worries!).
what did you do to substitute not using a pull up bar because both me and my bro want to try p90x before we hit our 20's hes 17, im 19 and well i know im ready to bring it!
I was using bands originally, but after 40 days into 2nd P90x with dumbbells and pull-up bar - I HIGHLY recommend using the pull-up bar instead. It's not that you won't get stronger and get results, it is just obvious to tell that there is a huge difference. A pull-up bar is $30 - split the price man and I guarantee you wil be glad you did. If one of you is stronger than the other, then one can do pull up bar and other can strap band around arm of pull up bar and use at same time. Bring IT!
awesome results bro!! I'm gonna start p90x soon I hope.. Trying to get my friend to start it w/ me :D I'll post Day 1 photos/video once I start..gonna need a little motivation :D
Always best to have a partner - as long as they put forth 100% and don't cause you to miss workouts. You can challenge each other and results will be even better! I expect my next 90 to be very dramatic and can't wait to show the world!
Wow congrats on your results...I have the series too (for the past 1.5 yrs...yikes). I was wondering, what did you do in place of not having the pull up bar, as I don't have one....do you have any other suggestions or pointers? Oh yeah, and realistically, how often a week did you do this program, everyday seems impossible for me to do, but I aim to try. Thank you!!
I use bands in place of the pullup bar. I originally didn't get one because I didn't think it would work in my house - way wrong! I'd recommend the pullup bar though as nothing can replace it and i'd get the Iron Gym ($30 I think) one as it is very portable and easy to configure. I worked out 6 days a week (did not do stretch x ever). It sounds more difficult than it is once you get used to it - i've done it for almost 220 days in a row now like that! Good luck!
i just got the p90x friday... hopefully it gets here soon.... My target is probably may 15 th or thereabouts. i'm 32 y/o, and i feel like i'm graduating from school again in anticipation for this summer!
I can almost guarantee that if you decided to do P90x and put forth the effort - it will be the best decision you ever made. It has many alot of workouts and they mix them up for muscle confusion that you will get results. Also, keep in mind that you don't have to do everything exactly how they have it. For example, I did YogaX for one month and then switched that day to jogging a 5K on those days. If you are disciplined in the eating part, P90X will take you over the edge to rip you up!!
Hey Dude, first of all let me say a big CONGRADULATIONS to your progress. Looking good. I've been doing Power 90 (the first one) for a while now and lost some weight, but I am so bored with the cardio part of the program. I do other things in place of it. I was thinking of going for the P90X routine because it mixes it up a little more. Should I go for it? Tell me what you think.
Yea it comes with all that. You can also use the Excel/Google Doc that is out there that is great for documenting and has all the nutrition info on it as well. Good luck!
+ is faster and quicker videos, which I like. I think it lacks in the abdominal area compared to P90X as nothing compares to Ab Ripper, but it improves on the chest area and I'm into that as my chest is weakest area. It's a great change of pace and I'd recommend it.
Ah, yea I have numerous friends that don't like those either...but I believe they work really well and once your body gets used to them they are not bad at all. Usually things that suck are things that are difficult for your body to do and those are the areas you should concentrate on. If it's easy, then you aren't working hard enough...
Great observation! My other half noticed that as well - odd that I didn't notice it until it was brought up. Just got my P90X+ and Pull-Up Bar in and will be starting that up on Monday.
I sure tried. Where I lacked in equipment, supplements, nutritional habits - I tried to make up for it during the workouts. I saw that you are just starting yours - guarantee you will get results.
