@MrTribejudah hey if you want to make ur video an flv file, go to google and search dvdvideosoft free studio, install it, then go to video, convert to youtube, and select ur file, convert it then it should be an FLV file, or donload an FLV file from youtube, FLV is a Flash Video so most likely it will be a streaming video. hope that helped

Here is a video that I found that explains how to use Sony Vegas Pro to render the alpha channel. "Selecting Alpha Channels in Sony Vegas software" by VASSTTraining on YouTube. I couldn't put the url in this comment.

It isn't as easy, but I think you can. Please verify with Sony Vegas that you can render the alpha channel before you buy Pro 9.0. You will have to render the alpha channel to get this effect. You will also need to render the video in a FLV format. I don't believe Sony Vegas Pro does that, but you can get other software besides After Effects that will.

Actually, you can learn very quickly. Start learning by only doing tasks that you need to get done. Don't worry about learning everything. That won't work well.

You can also get overview videos on YouTube that will help you with navigation.

Yes, you need to make your video against a green screen, or blue screen. The green color is best for use when you a videoing people. It allows you to balance skin colors better. It is because green is the opposite color of magenta. Many of our skin colors contain magenta.

I am using CS3, but I think you will find it this way. Look at the top where you see file on the top left corner. Go across until you find Effect. Click on Effect and look for Keying. Under Keying, look for keylight.

WOW!!!!!! You are my hero-I can do chrmo Key really good but I was so lost on how to get transparency. The best tut video-thank you so much.. 1 question-if I chrmo key my talent and render it as an avi file then take it to after effects can I skip some of those steps-remember my green screen will be chromo-out already to black. Yes, you can chroma out the green screen in another program. For example, you can do the green screen chroma removal within Sony Vegas Movie Studio and others.

However, one of the strengths of AfterEffects, is its incredible quality of chroma screen handling.

The other task that AfterEffects is very good at is the creation of a small FLV file, using the On2 codec.
