I'm fairly new to geocaching, but I don't think you can say this isn't a terrain 5 just by watching this video. I make geocaching videos for youtube, and compressing probablty an hours worth of footage into a 5- 10 min video usually leaves a lot out. Even them finding the cache. It was in a rock crevice, you never know they may have looked for an hour before the found it, but no one would watch an hour of people looking for it.
@sampson028 If they had to look for an hour it could quite possibly be a D5 but still not T5. In fact, even if they had to look for a week it is still not a T5.
@ior67 I know... that's why I mentioned both the terrain and the searching time. I never said how long they had to look for it had anything to do with the terrain. This cache is a 5/5, and people are saying that neither should be 5. But it still stands, I think that before people say this cache is an easy find, they should go look for it, not watch a video, because the video has to leave a lot out.
@sampson028 although there are a lot of cachers who think they are super hardcore and unless you need a rocket ship, they wouldn't classify it as a T5.
Very nice area, indeed, but I seem to have missed the T5 part of the cache.
Also walking off-trail like this shouldn't be promoted with a video. Beginners might think this is the "normal" way of walking through the woods, even in nature-protected areas...
@ior67 Terrain ratings can also go up according to the length of the hike involved (what if you had to do a 15-mile trail?) or the lack of a trail altogether. This looked like one of the latter to me.
Woooh. Found four today

T5? Where was the specialized equipment that is supposed to be needed? This looked more like T3 or something.

@ior67 Right, this is at most T4, in my opinion. And D5? Why? Is it a mystery cache?
