this was good, scrubs was a good shows, no it was not good it was awesome, they just dont make shows like that anymore, and if they try to do it isnt that fun
Unfortunatly none for the time being, money is short so I can't buy myself any video software (But I finaly have a job). I know I can't do anything great with the little that I have, but I tested out FX lab and I was (well, I think I was) good at using it.
When I get any videos made, I'll make sure your the first to see them.
Don't worry man, everybody has to start somewhere :) It shouldn't take too long to save up $150 for Effects Lab Pro.
The only problem is that FXlab is good for effects, but horrible for editing and sound so (if you don't already have one) I'd recommend a decent inexpensive editing program such as pinnacle studio or adobe premiere elements, which you can get for around $50-$100.
Wait, did you get just Effects lab, or Composite lab, or the bundle Vision lab?
I did notice that it wouldn't be great for editing and sound. I am pretty much set for the sound part of things, I have a program called MAGIX music maker and I think it's good sound.
I personaly would pay attention to the sound as much as the video (or more), because I noticed that the announcments aren't that great when it comes to sound. (Too much wind and peoples voices sound weird)(or maybe that's them)
I apologize. Personally I felt 6 people was enough, but of course everybody has their own opinion :)
Although do you have any examples of your own work up on youtube that I might be able to take a look at? When I looked there wasn't any on your profile but if there's any somewhere else feel free to post a link! :)
Sorry, I didn't clarify what I was saying. What I ment was that you should have had different people. You get the folder 4 times (I think) and two other people get it about 3 times.
Actually I put this together using Autodesk's compositing software called combustion. But I also have after effects and I'm sure it's possible. Digital "camera movement" is pretty easy, although in this video I also had to piece together 3 different camera angles (like I mentioned in a previous comment).
All you have to do is get the final video and zoom it in (not too much as it will lower the quality). Then, you will be able to keyframe the videos movement. Hope that helps :)
I just need to mess with after effects, I'm still new to it. I've been wanting to try some clone videos using digital panning across a whide surface, with at least 2 shots combined, to make the pan wide enough to be convincing.
Thanks for the comment! It took us only about 20-30 minitues to film in class, then it took me about 15-25 hours (about a week of work)to edit, composite all the fine details (like motion blur on background people), to digitally track the "[NBHS] Morning Announcements" to the green folder, and to set up the digital camera movement. I'm glad you like it! :)
so you didn´t move the camera in the whole video, you just moved it digitaly, that means the camera was far away right? like to have in one take everytinhg you want.
Now, since the camera doesn't have too large of a field of view, I shot from 3 different angles, then blended them. The transition between the 1st and 2nd angle is slightly noticeable, but I got the 2nd to 3rd angles blended pretty well (00:19).
The advantage with the digital camera movement is that the background stays in place even when the actors change (which is a problem in many other youtube "scrubs" intros).

How did you make the transitions so smooth? The people change but the background seems to stay the same

You overdid the passing of the folder, you should have at least had more people. Other than that, it was decent.

Thanks! Ironically, this one probably took the least time to make - since it has the fewest effects :)

Did you edit this with adobe after effects? if so, how did you do a digital pan? I've been trying to figure it out for ages

yeah, but I just found an element in after effects 7: "Insert > New Camera"
I will try it out later.

That's so cool! You did that perfectly, too. How long did it take to film an get exactly right?
