The whole interview is fantastic. Yes, the interviewer doesn't really seem to know what he's saying -- but Matt's answers are extremely genuine. The squirming is probably just nerves -- either pre-gig or overall discomfort with being interviewed. What I find so interesting about Matt Bellamy is his ability to completely let go of any inhibitions and bear his soul when he's playing. It may be "performing", but it's certainly not "an act".
