I have to watch this movie every once and while. I still chuckle when Dali ambushes Luis. Smart to get the one he knew was the social center. Robert was 19 when he did this and it's still the best thing he's ever done. Dali's concentration on Lorca is beautiful to see. The small details of this director is impressive. The unbuttoned shirt, the desperation for acceptance, etc. Perfect. And the cast is wonderful. Everyone single actor is just right for the role.
i'm lucky to live near the house-museum of figueras, im catalan as him and i live near the costa brava so i can visit cadaques and figueras in 20 - 30 minutes, it was a genius, and the jewels are sublime, the paintings are well painted as hell ,there is one called gala amb dues costelles en equilibri sobre la esquena that is like 6x8 cm ,and augmented 10 times it still have details, the specific names, and the crazy ideas he paint in a half of a war,picasso is very good and a genius but dali too

@Songsmirth and the costa brava is so big there are beach zones,also rock zones but the coast of cadaques where dali get the inspiration was at the time a fishers town, the houses are nerly on the water,and the calcaric rocks of the coast are all full of holes and make rare shapes is so beauty,and the housemuseum is in cadaques is his old house, the museum i showed you before is in figueras,so close one to each other sorry so

@Songsmirth and the truth is that in spain, we don't know much about painting art in usa, we know about scientists, about hollywood films, about music, but not much about painters and writers, andy warhole, hemingway, mark twain, poe and not much more, i do have a lot of usa writers in my book collection, i'm 30 and i have not been in the university so i have not much books, maybe 200 or 250,but i love to read,i have lovectraft,philip k dick,asimov,a.c.clark,doyle,neal stephenson,etc
@Songsmirth many books, not much books, sorry, my english is lame, but is my 4º language, i speak catalan spanish danish english and i understand portugish italian french and a bit german so i have a caos somtimes in my mind that i don't know what the hell i'm saying. :P

@Songsmirth the museum is a project of Dalí, the bigest project, is a big museum with his best paintings, some fresh paintings on the roof, some rooms with dalinian decoration like a coach with lips shape, and all the rest of the face are the pices of the room, is so great, the biggest collection of pictures, and jewells he designed, here is a figueras museum video sure that you will apreciate it
look at the jewells too, and to watch more about the museum just serch in youtube museo dali figueras and you will see a lot of videos if you come to spain for a trip i will make you an arttistic route for free, there are also a disco that have some dali paintings and is for the normal people, is cheap and new electronic music designed by dali called rachdinge, also picasso museum in barcelona, macba, gaudi buildings. im proud of catalonia's art :)

We have some art but not like most big cities. Look up Missoula, Montana. I traveled around France following some of the places Van Gogh lived and painted.
