Most orthodontists I have talked to tell me that they can get a better bite with braces. One even told me that the most experienced Invisalign providers who show there best cases in classrooms do not show cases which compare to classes where cases with braces results are shown. I also notice gaps between the back teeth on some of these cases, indicating to me that the bite is not so solid. Some cases also show molars moving outwards a lot. That doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

@guitarplayinguser Invisalign is an option for those who can't wear metal braces due to one or other reasons. Braces can have better control in certain malocclusions, and Invisalign being a removable appliance therapy has advantage of keeping oral hygiene easy to maintain. Every case is very different and patients should not just choose Invisalign just because it is cool new technology. The gaps in back teeth can be temporary due to Invisalign aligner's own thickness.

I just got invisalign a couple days ago. They were about 1000 dollars cheaper than regular braces and I only have to wear them for 9 months. The only thing I can complain about is having to take them off to eat and brush my teeth before I put them back on. I guess cost and how fast the trays get to you depend on location. They took just 2 weeks to take the impressions and get the trays to me.

@Mumfin I'm sorry but just because they look straight doesn't mean they are good teeth. Invisalign doesn't correct bite/jaw problems as well as traditional braces do. In most invisalign cases the patient needs brackets attached to the teeth anyway and they use white/cream coloured squares that look like plaque. Easier and cheaper to just have traditional braces that will fix bite problems at the same time. Run along you rude idiot.

There are lots of people who won't do braces at all due to metal look, Invisalign helps them to improve from where they are.There is no fake pic here. But i highly appreciate your time to share your views.Invisalign (and or braces ) should be selected carefully, and may require auxillary attachments and additonal dental treatment to have desired results.

Certain root movements can be done faster with braces as compared to Invisalign. Invisalign should be chosen when clear look is a priority over length of treament time. Another point is that braces can be installed on the day 1 of your orthodontic consultation, but Invisalign takes about six weeks to get onto a patient's dentition.

I think when you get to a certain point of rotating the teeth you get attachments on the braces and on your teeth so it can hold it and turn the tooth. But I don't totally know.

invisalign can fix any overbite as long as the cause is not your jaw :) that would need a gaurd, but if it is just your two front teeth then yes. Invisalign pushes back, moves forward and aligns any teeth that are astray. Though it hurts like a bitch when you first get them, but braces hurt more

invisalign can do anything - even cases that were 'impossible' with normal braces, invisalign can fix - distorted jaws, crowding, spacing.... they told me i needed to remove 4 teeth with normal braces - with invisalign - none! i get to keep all my teeth and get my perfect smile in 20 months instead of 4 years...

@pannudds - well maybe not 'anything', but i was sharing my personal experience, the simple fact is that when i wanted normal braces they said they would need to take out 4 healthy teeth, but with invisalign they didn't need to pull any teeth out, so as far as my situation, invisalign is by far the superior choice.

The final results still seem somewhat crooked to me. The ones I see in this video are spectacularly straight - in all cases. Mine seem still "ehh" ...
