  • @Skaterdude4321

I've done quite a few videos at Hoover. Thanks for watching

  • Nice bass, I'm sure you've been all around ohio so i figured i'd let you know about a really good fishing store. It's right on the border of barberton and akron and it's called Land Big Fish. They have tons of fishing stuff. Check them out online too.

  • hey man love your videos! my dad recently got a hunting property in ohio and i think i will be up there quite a bit next year. i have absolutely no idea where to fish there, we are in Cadiz Ohio, and i would appreciate if you could tell me some spots for bass or catfish in the area. thanks

  • @TheTommy7510

    Two words. Egypt Valley

  • @Fishnwithjoe about egypt valley, do i need a boat???

  • awesome bro, i just bought a basshunter stalker II from a friend, hopin to take it out to several lakes here in south texas and possibly to the bay to fish out some reds, snook, and trout

  • great stuff man you catch some nice fish up there. My dad is from Colubus and he swears theres no place to catch Largmouth!!LOL Keep the videos rolling!!

  • That bass you released... I'm gonna catch it and eat it I know where you fish! haha great videos man. I enjoyed all of them.

  • @zaw21

I made the videos so other could have a great time catching fish.

I put the fish back so others can catch them too. That fish would no longer be there for you to catch if I didn't put her back. Please pass on the favor of releasing so others who come behind you will have the same opportunity. There are lots of kids who fish in the area. Let's keep the fishing great for them too.

  • You're having too much fun!

  • Hey Joe,

Great video and website! I was wade fishing a river on the Wisconsin/UP border last month for smallies when I hooked into a 52" sturgeon! My buddy got the whole thing I video. Hope you don't mind me sharing it here. Tight Lines, Don

    youtube.com/watch?v=QVGuEFl4xgQ

  • If I had the money I would go fishing with you all the time.

  • Thanks for sharing the wealth. Catch and release is the way to do it

and having you share us your spots will allow us to catch your fish, too.

  • maaaaaaaaaaaan joe. I am currently in Columbus via Champaign, IL and forgot my fishing pole and the Olentangy. Now we may different school loyalties (Fighting Illini ;)). but ill fish anywhere. When i was being shown around the C-O yesterday, we crossed the bridge and i wanted to jump over the side cuz the water looks so good. We may return for the game next week against Miami. Columbus will be nuts. i gotta get a lure in the Tangy. Its going to bother me if I don't. Go Big Ten!!!Go Bucks!!!

  • You come to PA and Vs me in a fish off and we will see who is better =]

  • @JakesSports24

Jake if I went to PA I would rather fish with you instead of against you. It's better to be a friend and have a good fun time catching fish. I gave away this spot so others could enjoy the fishing there too. Hey thats just the way I see it.

  • @Fishnwithjoe Now see your a real fisherman. I meant it in a friendly gesture. Well anytime your near pittsburgh you let me know. Just got my respect Joe. =]

I'm a young 15 year old that loves the Sport Of Fishing, Hope you catch big ones before Winter!

  • @Fishnwithjoe You have any luck with catfish and crappie in the scioto river in winter.

  • @Fishnwithjoe

Thats a great attitude to have towards the sport as well as towards your fellow man. Good job. I am from Toledo, Ohio. I am gonna have to come down and check out these spots. Thanks.

  • @MartyWest1946

Thanks Marty. I hope you hook a big one.

  • WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO nice bass man, my fiances family lives here, I know what IM doing next time I come down. I think you need a wingman haha

  • wheres the best place in columbus for bass ? and i went to r and r and they really hooked me up thanks =)

  • @logungilbreath

Try south of Griggs in the riffles for smallies or the Olentangy in front of the Horse shoe for largemouth.

  • @Fishnwithjoe thanks and if u never have u should really try prarie oaks its a metro park but there are some pretty good bass out of there i caught a nice 6 pound largemouth there a couple weeks ago

  • i noticed when people catch lots of bass all i catch is 1 pounders and weekend fishermen dont catch alot but they catch big bass thats what happens to me i went fishing to my local pund i cauhgt a 10 pound bass form a 1 acre pond

  • try using buzz baits or tiny torpedos thts what i use and i blast them fish! hey joe i use the terminator spinnerbait! they love tht stuff

  • i live right on the scioto river but i never catch anything any advice ?

  • @logungilbreath

Give my friends at R&R Bait & Tackle a call in Columbus or visit them.

    They can definetly help.

Tell them Fishnwithjoe sent you. :-)

  • Nice vid Joe! Can't wait to get a boat and get out there myself.

  • @wowOKlol

Hope to see you out there on the water.

    Catch a big one.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • that cast at 1:15 was nice. i love making those precision type casts other fisherman wouldnt dare try with their 5+ dollar baits and shit. good stuff we need more fisherman like yee

  • ever go up to lake erie? i live up in Akron OH and goto lake erie for almost every weekend, or i go to a private lake

  • downtown

  • Scioto doesn't go downtown isn't that the deleware

  • You catch anything in March, I'm gonna try some Crank bait's here and its march so i was wondering if they bite

  • great video! im in dayton ohio if you'd like a guest to fish with just let me know!

  • Comment removed

  • Thats 1 of the biggest bass come out of ohios inland waters

  • Nice fish! A spinnerbait is my #1 favorite for bass. Works great in any water, any depth. Except in winter, but who fishes that much in the dead of winter.....

  • Where did you launch at to get there joe?

  • hey, joe wat type of rods and reels do you use

  • hey,joe wat type of rods and reels do you use

  • Nice one!

  • I live over here in Indiana around Lake Monroe and I can only consistanly catch bass with my crankbaits. Whats the trick with the spinnerbaits? Every time I use one the fishing gets slow but it is probably just because I don't use it right.

  • Easy fella, easy. Your blood pressure is spiked so high you might be in danger of having a heart attack if you ever catch a true 5 pounder.

  • Ive caught 7lb and 8lb bass in some of the southern states where they get much bigger. I got excited when I caught them too. I guess I just get really excited when I hook up. You should get excited too. The truth is there isnt much in life thats more exciting than hooking up on a good one. Thanks for watching the show. I hope you catch a big one too just dont have a heart attack when it happens

    Fishnwithjoe

  • definitely! Its hard in my area in bullhead city Arizona to catch a bass. what advice would you give me if I fish in a strong Colorado river current . The fish go so deep and never go for the bait. I use crank baits and livebait.

  • Try jigs and texas rigged worms. That way you can increase the size of the weight while keeping the size of the bait the same. Also I recommend tungsten because when you use the heavier weight to help fight the current the weight wont look as big.

    Thanks for watching the show.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • its just about that exciting when you catch one of them in the scioto river my man. Biggest i have got in there was some mutated small mouth.

  • Joe, u r working that bait.... Hook up with us sometime in MS. for some real nice bass.

  • I've never been to MS. I'd love to go. Thanks for the invite.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • thats small compared what i catch but i have got to give u a hand nice bass

  • how long is it

  • Nice catch, Joe! Go Bucks!

  • Yeah, thats why I fish;To get no bites all day.....Jeez.If it sucks that bad,why fish it;It seems LESS Pressure=Better fishing.....

  • NICE FISH!

  • Hey Joe, have you fished Alum Creek or Deleware Lake? If so, what kind of tips or spots can you give me. I haven't had luck at Alum, and only landed largemouth with minnows while fishing for crappie. Any tips like lures, where to go, ect... are welcomed and greatly appreciated

  • only lake a 4-5 pounder

where i live thats a regular fish!

  • This isnt where you live. That's what makes this video so good. It was filmed in one of the toughest places in country to get hooked up. Anglers in Columbus regularly fish all day for no bites. If I caught 5lb bass all day on a renowned fishery I'd only be an average angler but, comming up with good fish on the most difficult places to fish makes the show different in a good way. Thanks for watching the show.

  • well your right i shouldnt bee talkin about things i dont know ....sorry

    love your show!

  • It's cool man. I make this show for the little guys who dont have anyplace to fish. That's why all my shows are filmed on places where anyone can go fishing. Many guys in Ohio that dont live within reach of Lake Erie catch 7 or 8 bass in a year. Nobody else even does shows in these places because its so hard to get hooked up.

  • im fishing bigger fishes every day in iceland !

    for real

  • Joe love your vids man and GO BUCKS! I live 30 miles east of Columbus and love river fishing! Do you have any other ramps along the scioto that are decent? Besides The ohio river and now the Scioto. Do you have any other decent sized rivers that would hold my 16ft 1980 ranger w/ 50hp. Its not much to look at and has lots of scratches but it catches fish. Only thing Im worried about is getting stranded on very shallow rapids lol.Any Ideas near by our area? Also good boat ramp spots?

    Thanks

    Casey

  • Hey Joe nice vids. I live in Ohio also, near houston woods in Preble county. I think this would be a nice place for you to do a video. I catch some nice bass here. 10hp limit, and low fishing pressure.

  • Acton Lake is a great place to fish. Last time I was there I caught a ton of saugeye.

  • man Joe you really like your black under armor..is it lucky?haha

  • There are lots of different brands but, Its light weight, It doesnt hold water, dries quickly when wet and it keeps the sun off while reducing the amount of sunscreen that I have to use. Less sunscreen means less scent on the lures. It's great stuff and its lucky.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • As you can figure out, I have a ranger, but I may consider something smaller, more mobile and not so expensive. How fishable is your boat?

  • I live in a place where a smaller boat is much more usable. I cant have a boat that I'm afraid to scratch. I'm constantly in 1 foot of water sitting in rocky riffles. I have a 21' bass boat with a 225 hp Engine to but, in three years of filming havnt used it yet. If the lake is unlimited H.P. then chances are there is so much pressure there are no fish. Only lake in Ohio that's an exception is Erie. In other states its much different. It cost a lot less to tow and is better for the environment.

  • My boat is 16' with a 9.9 HP engine. I find that 10hp limit lakes and electric motor only lakes in my state are much more angler friendly, less pressured, and much quieter. Of course if everyone switches to a smaller boat then I'll have a lot more competition.

  • Hi Joe, great catch in Columbus. My son is at OSU so I'll be bringing my boat up from Cincinnati to so we can try our luck.

  • alum creek also nice large mouth

  • joe where is this at?

  • It's on the Scioto River in Downtown Columbus. You can access the spot at the Greenlawn Dam boat launch off of Whittier Street. Maybe I'll see you on the water one day.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • ok thanx...i live in ne ohio but my sis goes to osu so when i visit her ill go fishing...what speciez live in that river?

  • Largemouth, smallmouth, bluegill and some huge crappie. The video of the crappie will be out early next year.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • 5:35 is there ever such a thing as a BLUE ohio state hat?

    Blue is an ugly color

  • Its a cool denim blue jean hat. I have a brown one too. Sometimes I like a different look.

    Thanks for watching the show.

    Go Bucks

  • JOE, If you fish many touraments, here in southwestern ohio they won"t let you use jet drive now because they dont think its fair... even though there boat holds 50 gallons of gas and go 75 mph....I got rid of my jet drive and they now are thinking of banning all aluminum boats they say they float to shallow to be fair... I say everyone has there choice when they buy there boat, why pay 50000 dollars for a boat you are afraid to scratch...The fish dont care...you still have to catch them...

  • My boat has lots of scratches. :-)

  • Joe, do you have jet drive on your outboard.??? I use to, its the way to go...I live in ohio too its nice for shallow waters but you loose some speed...

  • Not yet but, Im working on it.

  • I just got a Terminator spinnerbait not too long ago. I haven't really got a chance to use it yet. I live in Ohio too, and my favorite spinnerbait is the Booyah Counter Strike in silver scale white.

  • hey joe, can u tell me everything about the lure u were using today, where to get it, where to get the blades, and how to equip them too it, i would appreciate it, THANKS.

  • T1 Terminator in chartreuse and white with tandem blades. Replace the willowleaf with a white painted blade one size larger to help slow down the bait in the water and give the fish a chance to hit it. It works great in most of our muddy Ohio lakes.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • hey joe how much do u think that fish weighed? good fish by any means.

  • stinkyfishman

I'm not sure how much he wieghed but, I sure did have fun catching him. Thanks for watching

    FishnwithJoe

  • oyu should try to get sponsered by rapala

  • hey joe i was fishing in a pond near my house and caught 2 bass each weighing 3lbs the i hook up with a 6 pounder and i turned it lose

  • coltenhertenstein ,

Fish can be caught many times if theyre released and in many places that helps to ensure good fishing into the future.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • people say that the fishing around central oho is bad but i love it i love griggs last night i got a few saugeye and a couple 2lbrs on a shakey head on the lower part of grigs by the public ramps

  • step1britt,

I agree Griggs is an awesome place to fish. Thanks for watching the show

  • Thanks bomber

  • freaken nice bass for a public place

  • i live an hour away from columbus, yay!

  • Hope to see you on the water one day bomber. In the summer when its hot try the little Bomber model "A" crankbait in the crawfish pattern. Scioto River fish love that bait.

  • nice fish broski i was born in worthington, ohio i hope to go back sometime soon and see the buckeyes play

  • Once a Buckeye always a Buckeye. Hope to see you at a Buckeyes game or on the water one day jonshmag3

  • Awsome bass and you are right. I've been over that bridge think and wishing I was fishing. I was on my way to a Spial Fusion surgery, knowing that this was gonna suck and take about 6 months bfore I could go fishing again. I always fished Bass tournaments every weekend in Souther ohio and winning most of them or placing in the money. Ross Lake, Lake Rupert, Rocky Fork, Paint Creek and so maany others. We gotta do a tournament. My partner had a stroke and died. I need a partner !!!

  • If youre in the money then I want to be on your boat.

    Fishnwithjoe

  • Great fish, love the videos!

  • Thanks bb0237071

  • It's not fair to say we don't know those fish are there...ha ha. I've been fishing that river from the time I could hold a fishing pole. I have fished this river from Prospect Ohio...past Columbus Ohio. I've caught Large Mouth Bass, White Bass, Blue Cats, Channel Cats, Crappie, Huge Carp, and Northern Pike during their runs from this river...I would not suggest eating any of the fish from the Scioto River....lol

  • Crazybones, we are in the minority who know about the great fishing in Downtown Columbus. There are so many people in Central Ohio who need to know about the good fishing we have. My videos are designed to do just that, to teach those who dont know and reinforce the knowledge of those who do know. Thank you for watching and commenting.

    Joe

  • Good Job Joe...Tear em up. :)Looking forward to seeing more videos.

  • Nice fishin JOE! GO BUCKS! love that bridge.

  • I was born a Buckeye, raised a Buckeye, graduated from The Ohio State University a Buckeye and I caught that fish right in the middle of Downtown Columbus Buckeyeville to prove to every Buckeye that we have excellent fishing right here in the Buckeye State. I will always do my best to exemplify fishing for every Buckeye and beyond. Youve got my word on it.

  • im a buckeye to been here all my life

  • right under the bridge

    wow!

  • Joe, Sweet as heck!! you made a believer outta this guy who crosses that bridge all the time. Grove City Dan. Plus, someday i will cast like you. Amazing.

  • Thanks for the compliments Dan. You can access the area from the boatramp at Whittier Street in Downtown. Chartruese and white are the best colors.

  • Great video Joe! Very enjoyable, and nice 5 pounder!
