I've been to Yankee stadium and watched Canseco hit a homer into a sea of blue seats in the upper deck. Same with Boston. Try looking at the stands at Fenway park in Roger Clemen's early days. Half full at best. I guess NY and Boston are bad baseball towns too using your brilliant logic. Your hate of Philly just blinds from leaving these convenient facts out.

Look at the A's, Dodgers, Angels, Seatle, O's, Cubs, White Sox throughout the 70s, 80's 90's their were times they were the worst in all of baseball and yet their fans still showed up in numbers unlike "philly". Yes the Vet was empty in the 80's, but SO WAS YANKEE STADIUM, FENWAY and Memorial Stadium to name a few. Philly has always been a baseball town, the A's won 5 World Series here, the Phils won 2 .
