  • finally a studio version of this!

  • this is the first time ive heard the song, in the real song, is there words?

  • not exactly but james heitfield recite a poem around the 8 minutes

  • It's actually Cliff Burton who does the vocals for this one (I have the album). Probably the only time that you hear just him, and probably one of the last songs that they recorded before his death. It's scary, really; it's almost as if he knew what was coming. Cliff really was an incredible bassist, and the world just isn't the same without him.

  • This is the real song, idiot.

  • no shit, i mean the original

  • THIS IS THE ORIGINAL

  • Yes, starting at 7:33 Cliff Burton says "When a man lies he murders a part of the world. These are the pale deaths that men miscall their lives. All this I cannot bear to witness any longer. Cannot the kingdom of salvation take me home?" It's ironic if you think about it, but this was probably one of the last songs that they recorded before his death.

  • to live is to die

  • i've been looking for this song everywhere.

  • buy the album "And justice for all" you wont be dissapointed. If people don't buy their albums, rock bands will stop writing songs, that will be a sad day.

  • hehehe...yoda :D!
