  • Great Miming, you should be on Top Of The Pops.

  • that was a good one, that kind of got lost on the album

  • One of my favorite Stones' songs since I first owned Metamorphosis on 8-track. Yeah, THAT long ago! I also didn't know this was a Mick Taylor riff.

    Thanks for the lesson.

  • thanks Strato! Learned this and recorded tonight. Always liked this tune. It is raw and raunchy, just like a Stones tune should be

  • Kieth is like Ace, same old riff as always:)

  • Mick Taylor didn't write shit.

  • @fed1776 i love keith as much as every one does but its documented that taylor wrote it

  • Christ, i am soooo happy some one did this song! It's a hidden Stones gem, thats for sure. Great lesson, mate.

  • TY, I just love that riff!!

  • WRITTEN BY MICK TAYLOR!

  • no one and I mean no one rocks like the stones

    keep up the good work

    shaaaaadoooooooobeeee

  • its a great riff and you play it quite perfect but the riff is written and played by Mick Taylor! keith do not perform on this song although its cotributed to him and jagger.

  • brilliant as usual mate ;)

  • On down the line can be played in this tuning also, if you liked. the slide is probably done in open G, but keith plays the rythum

  • do you mean, All down the line? i'd love to see a video lesson on that song, one of my all time favourites

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • beau travail et propre

  • du travail propre et soigné

  • I really found helpful the video

Thanks for sharing, rock the stones!

  • Great lesson on Keith style guitar. He's my favorite and I've been trying to play his 5 string open G, so this really is a big help. Thanks.

  • Thank you! You're welcome :)

  • Very well informed !

  • This riff was written by Mick taylor- NOT Keith Richards. Keith does NOT play on the track. The guitar players on the song were Mick taylor and Steven Sills. This is why the Stones never play this song. Look it up!

  • Oh, I didn't know that! Well mate, thx for the info. Anyway, if we ever hear an Open G riff, we mostly believe it's Keith :)

  • I just learned all this two years ago myself (I've beena fan of the Stones for 30 years) Mick Jagger wrote the riff to Brown Sugar (but did not play it) Mick J does play the opening riff to Sad Sad Sad (Keith comnes in right before the drums) NICE TO MEET A STONES FAN!

  • That's still actually speculation...
