I don't understand the hate for the idea of 3D. I understand that it has been poorly done in the past, but if it can actually be pulled off, why wouldn't you want to experience the sensation of depth in a 3D game? If the extra dimension bothers you that much you can always poke out one of your eyes and experience life in 2D as well.

@TimmaFrank I was actually somewhat shocked at how .. ehrm.. "cheap" they were. The last TV I bought was a 32", and I paid more for that than what these cost.. Granted, it was a nice TV, but still. I'm going to wait and see if the next version of these have earphones that I can snap off. Cause I don't want to be using the ones built in. Don't care how good they are, I have sennheiser 650's and they are better. I just want to be able to use those.

@shinra358 i went to the Toronto commicon (the fan-expo). they showed a beta version at the show and i must say... it was fucking amazing. it is worth by far what the price is. imagine playing video games on a movie movie theater that SURROUNDS YOU! ITS EVERYWHERE!!!!!! trust me, if you are thinking about buying a new tv. you should DEFINITELY consider this thing. it really is the future of gaming and television.

The visor has less inside it, therefore it should cost less. they would make more money from it if the price is reduced. it would also be sent to more homes. and what if it drops and breaks? warranties aren't but so long. i would be scared to even use it at that price let alone let somebody else look into it. there is no way the components that make it cost that much

It has two 720p OLED screens inside add to the fact its tiny that means its very complicated to assemble. So, yes it cost alot to make it and you pay slightly more to buy it (so they make money to make other things and enhance the stuff you already own).

No matter how you slice it someone makes money off the stuff you buy duh. So what I'm getting at is this device is pretty much the best TV money can buy & some high end big screen 3D LED TVs about 70-85" cost around 4-6 thousand dollars. To outfit a family of 5 with these headsets it would cost $4440 dollars and some change (with 11% tax). If its just you then at $800 its very cheap considering the other options out there. I game solo so its cool but I'm saving up for a PSV instead.

Used this at Playstation Access in Glasgow to play Tekken Hybrid and watch a Spiderman trailer. Was awful. I saw too much of the area around me which was a complete distraction even though I was just standing still. Also the weight of it dips your head down awkwardly.
