  • very nice! i'll try it with an italian cheese named "gorgonzola", that is very similar to the roquefort. hope it's good!

  • I bet this guy could make poop taste good.

  • I cooked this dish like 3 weeks ago for the first time and trust me, since that I did it literally like 7-8 times.its just amazing and its good with almost anything.well done

  • @Rakloro How did you prepare the beetroot? Did you boil or bake? Cheers.

  • @moonsafari200

when you buy a fresh beetroot, better to boil.than just follow the recipe.cheers

  • @Rakloro That's what I thought. Many tnx. I tried it with gorgonzola and it worked really well.

  • Why not toast the sesame seeds first, put them aside, then do the beetroot? Why used two pans?

  • @reginaDeviant because the oil that comes out of the seeds while toasting them is too strong to then cooks the beets in.

  • @holdthelight11 OK, thanks, I would not have thought of seed oil being too strong.

  • he has ADD right? he can't stand still!!!!

  • @flameout12345 Of course he's not standing still he's cooking...

  • @zzIrHainezz no he bounces even when he talks! haha not like it matters ;)

  • Did he just diss his moms' mashed potatoes?!

  • "Roqufori" ? Roquefort.

  • god bless your nan :) hahhaha Gordon Ramsay is so funny lol

  • 4:19 "the nuttiness of the testes"

    freudian slip gordon?

  • @amplfdchris lol

  • Dwight would've loved this

  • I never liked beetroot but maybe i'll try this :D

  • @SotamFireX me too : )

  • He should do more shows like this.

  • I bet the kitchen is the biggest room in this house

  • Pre-packaged, Pre-cooked? I never thought I'd see Ramsay using anything like that.

    All I can say is......WOW

  • @FamilyOfMan1975 This segment is usually part of either his Cook-a-long Live show or The F-Word. Obviously, during Cook-a-long Live, he's working with a lot of home chefs so he has to modify what he might do (have his staff roast the beets) for home chefs cooking with him. Alot of people don't like to cook/don't know how to cook. No need to burden them with one more thing to do (roasting/boiling beets) and better to let them know that they can buy pre-boiled beets.

  • Fascinating. This is a really good video, it never occurred to me to sauté the beetroots with olive oil and balsamic.

  • looks soo good :)

  • ROFL at 4:20 he says testie instead of sesame

  • @link40k Aha, he said "toasted" but since he is Scottish with a british accent, it came out like "tested".

  • i dont like the cheese part...dont like the blue cheeses, too strong for me. guess the dish wouldnt be the same without it tho.

  • 4:20 sounds like he said testi sesame seeds tehehe

  • Just made this as a small lunch out of curiosity. surprisingly delicious!

  • here in italy we can find them fresh!lol

  • Nice job Mr Ramsey you burned the seeds...

  • Guys, the beetoot he's using are boiled not baked! baking them doesnt produce as much juice!

  • @abbasammar1 He said they were pre-cooked, and that you could buy them fresh, and then bake them. He didn't say they were baked :)

  • @ofdiscordia I understand but he did say they are pre-cooked and that they BAKE them, which I doubt as I have worked with beetroot and only boiling them produces as much juice.

  • HAHA! Roqufori... That's not french atleast, im sorry!!! LMFAO!!!

  • hey! my nana could whip a storm in the kitchen!

  • wait. how do you overcook MASHED potatoes?

  • Leave the potatoes in boiling water too long and you'll have your answer.

  • Another thing you should try is beetroot and cumin. One of the best combination ever

  • would fresh beets be better?

  • He's teaching you how to cook a lunch for the family... Not how to do a gourmet dish, who cares if they're packaged?

  • Roquefort?

  • @kamikakushii

    blue cheese

  • why can't we all learn to cook like this...

  • try it guys,,,wow,,just ate that...UN-BE-LIVABLE

    5 stars

  • if this guy can cook one meal for me, I would be happy for the rest of my life

  • @barkleysound

    Yes, me too.

  • @barkleysound go to some of his restaurants :D it's expensive, but if that will make you happy for the rest of your life, then... :D

  • @barkleysound thats wat ive been thinking lately. saving up if i dont ever become rich enough lol, just to have him cook me and my partner a meal. would be amazin

  • @barkleysound Go to one of his restaurants, hahahaha.

  • @Hayacafrita you do realize that most of those famous tv chef that own there restaurants ..dont really cook food for you cuz there so busy right?

  • @Hayacafrita you really think he works and cooks at his restaurants? LOL

  • I'm honestly shocked... Ramsay always belabors the use of fresh ingredients. Beets are so readily available...

  • lol fresh beets are allways in a package like that ...

  • LOL fail.

  • dude its for a sunday lunch.. and it saves time. Gordon is one of the highest ranking michilen chefs, you really think he would buy bad packaged beets?
