  • I guess Thanagarians does not constitute a large demographic, hence the Hawks' removal.

  • How come they never had the Martian Manhunter in this series? He was a full council member of the team in the comics.

  • @pytko3 he was not etnic enough

  • No Arabs??? No Hindus????? RACISTS!!!!!

  • @shk123

Haha ... no such thing as an Arab superhero. I have no idea what a Hindu superhero would be like. Probably hyper intelligent, but wouldn't like to fight with fists.

  • @nightowl8936 "no such thing as an Arab superhero"

Except the dozens of Arab superheroes featured in the comics themselves LOL

  • why they're terrorist lol

  • "general exhibitoon lol" cool

  • el dorado LOL!!

  • El Derado was Tito Santana from WWE!

  • would have been nice If Green Arrow was in this series !

  • @Reborn8303

you mean the Green lantern. Back then thats what he was called

  • @MetalHeart8787 No Green Arrow ! Not the Green Lantern look it up !

  • @Reborn8303 oh ok yeah Green arrow ive heard of him BUT he was more like a Robin hood character.

the Green Lantern was more Original & more of an Amerian Hero. so he fit in Better.

  • Still no Jewish Superhero.

  • The lesser known heroes (including Atom) were up there because they were not the A-listers. You always give prominance to the stars. There's nothing unusual as far as that goes.

  • Respond to this video...

  • Since when does Wonder Woman fly without her plane ?

  • @Marvcohen Since after "Crisis On Infinite Earth" when her comic series was realunched, Wonder Woman now has the power of flight. She's also quite a bit stronger.

  • this was cool, but could the "affirmative action" superheroes been any more blatant?!

  • I hear you. I never drew attention to it when I was a kid, however. You can especially notice the blatancy at the very end (at :37) where they have the "affirmative action" friends grouped seperately and with smaller heads.

  • @JohnnyDrama34 Atom was there with them and he's white (I think. Maybe he's Jewish?)

  • @Markel1970A Ehhh. Either way, the focus on their ethnicity is very apparent. "Black Vulcan"? What is it about him that suggests that name other than the fact that he's black? Apache Chief? Real Native Americans don't talk or dress like that. Samurai wasn't even a samurai, and who knows what El Dorado is really about. His name suggests he's from South America (El Dorado is a name of a fictional city in S. America), yet he was Mexican.

  • @JohnnyDrama34

SO!? whites dodn't go flying around in Blue Tights either.

STOP being so sensitive. they at least included minorities

as Super HEROS & NOT Villians

  • Thank you so much! My favorite of the Superfriends intros! I've not seen that in 25 years. You made my day. Hopefully this will be included on the "Lost Episodes" DVD coming soon!

  • There is no 3'rd season DVD set of The

Challenge Of The Superfriends, but The

Superfriends: The Lost Episodes is due

on August 11'th, and I've got all the box

sets so far, except for the seperate series

aired in 1986 with the same announcer,

    "Battle Of The Centurians".

  • Nearly all the Superfriends are out on DVD, but the 1st season with Wendy and Marven and The 1980,81 ,82 seasons that had this intro, and Worlds Great Superfriends are not out yet..only

Challenage of the Superfriends , the 2nd & 3rd season with the Wonder Twins, and the last two seasons with FireStorm are on DVD. Which I have.

  • Well get ready...cause some of the "lost" episodes are coming out on DVD! They'll be from the 1982 season.

  • thanks you are the best
