They were not created by the Tamil People but rather by the Sri Lankan Government (as a consequence). After a nation wide pogrom, and continued abuses by sucsesive governemnts the onus is on the government to win the trust of the other side. Ppl who understood this negotiated a ceasefire agrement and as a result Tamils stopped supporting LTTE, attacks became less frequent and the way was paved for peace and reconciliation. As I have lived in Sri Lanka IN the war zone for more then 20 years, I know very well how Sri Lankan army behave. Sri Lanka is running on a 30+ years of 'Emergency Rule', which not even exist in places like North Korea/Sudan/Mianmar. Under the emergency rule, government forces can do whatever they want. Now Tamils culture and land are colonized by Sinhalese militery. Women/ kids abuses are daily matters.... Sri Lanka needs an economical sanction. Tamils needs right to decide their future.

They were not created by the Tamil People but rather by the Sri Lankan Government (as a consequence). Their killings were generally done out of retailliation or as warnings- I am not saying thats fair. Also they have admitted their faults/mistakes at times. After a nation wide pogrom, and continued abuses by sucsesive governemnts the onus is on the government to win the trust of the other side. Ppl who understood this negotiated a ceasefire agrement and as a result Tamils stopped supporting LTTE, attacks became less frequent and the way was paved for peace and reconciliation. Until this happened

As I have lived in Sri Lanka IN the war zone for more then 20 years, I know very well how Sri Lankan army behave. Sri Lanka is running on a 30+ years of 'Emergency Rule', which not even exist in places like North Korea/Sudan/Mianmar. Under the emergency rule, government forces can do whatever they want. Now Tamils culture and land are colonized by Sinhalese militery. Women/ kids abuses are daily matters.... Sri Lanka needs an economical sanction. Tamils needs right to decide their future.
