@iraqiprincess7 You might be able to find the full version of Poltergeist on YouTube. Some other viewers might know a channel, any suggestions people?
She died from bowel obstruction complicated by septic shock. Get over yourselves, people, it's just a movie, and it's not any sadder than any other child dying. Just because you've heard of her doesn't make you someone who knew her in real life.
I'm thinking the curse thing might be real. If it is it's probably because the people that died had demonic-related stuff that attached to them (unbeknowst to them) and that's what could have caused their early demises. Or any problems for the living actors...
Yes, she was misdiagnosed by her doctors and given treatments that actually exacerbated the problem. Had she been diagnosed properly and gotten the surgery that she needed, she would still be alive. Poor baby. Rich people often have the worst doctors.
@AshButt821 If only her life could've been saved in real life as it was in this film. But, unfortunately, life is never like the movies, or vise-versa. :(
She died from Crohn's Disease. When they were making the 3rd Poltergeist they took a break and during it she get really sick and Heather fainted on the kitchen. In the ambulance, Heather suffered cardiac arrest and died on the operating table
Some said there were too many curses in Poltergeist movie. I also want to cry for her. She's innocent, cute and young. It's so unfair. Why did she get the curse from the movie which not supposed to her?
I just love this movie even though it made me so terrified of my bedroom closet for yrs lol, I still don't like clowns or my bedroom closet because of this movie but it's still awesome thanks for sharing...
I used to love this movie I was so upset when I heard that she died she was the cutest little girl out there in hollywood when she was alive *sniffles* I wish she weren't dead. Thank you so much for posting up these scenes on poltergeist this would have to be one of my favorite horror films...
Once all the editing as been done and set to Jerry Goldsmith's score it's a fascinating and chilling opening, with that moving glass effect and the strings. Heather's presence really stole the show, by far.
Perfect and lucky choice Spielberg was incredibly fortunate to have found her for the part of Carlo Anne, in Poltergeist, and now her name has become a household name, RIP sweet Heather and thank you for entertaining us all.
Happy birthday, little angel!!!

Heather O'Rourke (1975 - 1988) will never be forgotten. She would have had a very big future as an actress, people said.
RIP, Heather! We love you!
