I liked Rhydian because he was different. I wouldn't buy his album though and I definatly prefer people like Nick Cave.

both great versions, although Cash's version misses out the important words 'down here' comparing the throne of god to the electric chair, i know i'm being picky, but those two words carry a lot of meaning.....

I agree its one thing thats bugged me about cash's version other than that I think he does the song justice but still that line is hard to overlook.I cringe whenever it gets to that part so I do not think your being picky

i like this version cave is amazing but cash`s version makes you go wow.people dont give cash a chance they think country music yuk but his later stuff was amazing like hurt,rusty cage,redemtion song with joe strummer, cash even sung with cave

I like both versions. Nicks original is shatteringly intense while Cash puts quite a different spin on it. More resigned. As befits a guy who really is near the end of his life I guess.
