Its all about practise,i used to practise everyday,now i can do it no problem,same for all bboy moves,some people better at this than mills and visa versa,i learned a slightly different way,took about 4months,but now im flying,and gotta say,for the love of god it feels good!

ok, first get into your head stand. then, slowly practice twisting your legs around when comfortable, slow whip your legs... *hardcore headspin!*

@TheOtherOne122 I would say yeah, because carpet has more friction so you won`t be able to move as smoothly but you can use carpet floors to practice maintaining balance,leg movements,etc

When I first started I did alot of headspin walks on carpet using a helmet. The helmet gave extra surface area for carpet and it was also slippery enough to move. Be very careful using a helmet though because if you lose balance you can damage your neck badly. Bboy Swift, BGirl Simi and the breakdance ninja give some good tips on how to learn headspins slowly. Take your time, be patient, give your body time to repair and stay safe. Then you will get it.

Small word of advice

Do it on a somewhat slick floor to get in more spins

And wear a hat or a beanie cuz the faster you spin is like the more your head burns without one

also for people goin on about hair being removed that only happens dramaticaly if you dont use a beanie, the skin becomes tougher on your head the more you use it and that mkes hair more difficult to grow through but it will grow back if you leave headspins alone for a while
