En hommage à Hickstead, mort lors d'une étape Coupe du monde, pourquoi ne pas rebaptiser la finale Coupe du monde : "Trophée Hickstead" ou "Memorial Hickstead" ?

In memory of Hickstead, perhaps could we give a name at the World Cup final : "Hickstead Trophy" or "Hickstead Memorial".

The sad part was is that he rode his students horse at the show, showing that he didnt care about winning, but to show Canada he was strong. The horses name was Harold 3.

@mcmferris I noticed that too....was pretty disapointed in the "tribute" actually. Thought it was poorly done and looked thrown together. Very dis-tastefull to have another horse in Hicksteads tribute.

@mcmferris I'm pretty sure that's still Hickstead but his coat is bleached by the sun. Happens a lot, because it does look like a chestnut but it's not Coriana Van Klapscheut (Eric's chestnut mare).

Sorry - a horse can get bleached but they don't grow a snip for the summer months;) I have seen Hickstead compete throughout the summer months at Spruce and he never "bleached to a chestnut" haha:) Eric rides a bunch of horses - I think the maker of the video was just in a hurry and didn't realize the mistake!

@mcmferris I just realized that :L I know he was never bleached to be a chestnut but sometimes the lighting of the picture an change things, it's happened to a friend of mines horse. I looked through Eric's competition horses and none of them look the same as that horse so it's either an old horse of his or not even him :L They probably just put the wrong picture there without realizing it :P

this is so sad and sweet at the same time. i cried when i watched this :( RIP Hickstead we will never forget you!! you were one of the greatest horses of all time, if not the greatest, and we will miss you so much!
