Free trade isn't a positive government intervention and that it is considered as one has allowed ignoramuses like Obama to bring the flimsy concept of 'workers ' rights' (what does he even mean, rights to force other workers not to work, the right to work, the right to earn without having government steal your earnings, WHAT DOES HE MEAN?!) into something as important as unilaterally free trade across the globe.

Part of the reason that the depression was so long was because we raised tarrifs to 60%. The reason this was done is because FDR's administration thought they were saving American jobs. However, this kind of economic thinking is very delusional. One reason is that the tarrifs are a hidden tax that decrease the purchasing power of Americans. If China for example can produce a product for x amount of dollars less a American manufacture than why should we put a tax on the good.

2) Free Market (Free? Trade) Capitalism is not the American System of Economy. Free Market Capitalism "GLOBALIZATION" is destroying the world. Why? Because it is Imperialism! 1) The reason poor Countries are poor/ banks are bankrupt/? people are loosing there jobs/ some are getting kicked out of there homes and the world is rebelling against there Governments, is because of Free Market (Free Trade) Capitalism. He said at 1:01 they will a goods and market without havin to payin, without us having to pay in a billions of dollars and they will create jobs overseas leaving the homeland out of jobs and screwed.
