Im sorry but if you look for problems on your Mac, install this software. All the "cleaners" that I used (including this one) in some way just make my Mac faster (placebo effect) and gave me a lot of troubles in many software. Just keep your Mac organized and clean ONLY the temp files from removed software..that's what I do on my Mac and its running always fast, like the first, clean, MacOSX installation.
Do I have to keep it running for it to work?
