  • Oh and the character singing was way off and the guys singing the chorus section was as horrendous as bobby's view of having someone ALWAYS there... hehe see what i did there!

  • Good try guys but i honestly dont think the overall feeling of the musical cant really be captured by teens that haven't yet been able to experence the of torment and love that is relationships. i sooo wanted to do this but i know i just cant- as much as i relate with bobby so far in life, i just dont have the underlying "thing" that makes it just that much better... i just don't see it with bobby... though if my HS ever did Company- you bet i would still be gunning for the role of bobby!

  • Im a senior in high school and while i applaud the show being done by such a young cast i do think they're treating the script too much like regular musical theater fare. George Furth meant all of these scenes to be in a play, the pacing is obviously maneuvered by a person who did not know the show well enough. I'm not blaming the kids.

  • ok. these kids need training. in, like, everything.

  • I'll forward your comment to the director. He will take your valuable insight to heart and try oh-so-much harder in future productions.

  • tell him:

    step 1: teach.

    hope this helps! :)

  • are you all hs students? You are great... I wish my director took chances like yours making it original. five stars :)

  • But this song is so funny!! Why isn't the audience laughing???

  • They are rolling in the aisles, guffaw-ing their asses off.. but there are no mics out there to pick it up!! ;-]

  • Our high school is doing Company, and I'm playing Harry- Our fight scene is MUCH better than this- we actually do a REAL flip. C- TOWN BABY!

  • First - your profile says that you're 22-years-old... and you're in HIGH SCHOOL???

    Second - This school hired a professional "fight & combat choreographer" to work this scene, so of course, you're MUST have been much better. Wow, a REAL flip. That certainly will make or break a Sondheim show.

    LET'S SEE A VIDEOCLIP..

  • Well first off, I'm 18 and just graduated.

    Secondly, we hired a professional stuntman, who did stunts for "Dark Knight"- so it WAS better.

  • @leojrevlis if you hired a professional combat choreographer...you wasted your money, lol.

  • @megan132 And happy holidays to you too!  ;-}}}

  • omg, that is one awesum set O___O

    great job, guys!

  • hehe, I just noticed you replaced jesus christ is it fun with boy oh boy. :P I always found it strange that people found it offensive when I said Jesus Christ in America.

  • "Goddamn" also became "damn" in some dialog.

    In Steel Pier "falls to shit" became "falls apart, and "milking the foreman" was "entertaining the foreman." Hey - it's high school!!!

  • I'm sure, I was just saying that at my secondary school (high school) in England, the only word that would've even have been considered for cutting would have been falls to shit.

  • Then I guess [in Company] when April says, "You shit-head!" you [like us] would have changed it to "You bastard!"

    Tee-hee...

    Thanks for you comments.. ;-}

  • XDDD They are .. the oddest couple... and yet that looks like so much fun XD

  • I have never heard of a high school doing Company before.

    Nice job :-)

  • To whoever played JoAnn:

    I love your voice. Are there any videos of you doing "The Ladies Who Lunch"?
