Your style is very smooth! and I too am a gospel and funk guitarist. however, I'm still having problems with my shout chords. Of course I use to play secular music, so the transition to me has been unique! to say the least! although i've been at it for some time it yet presents a challenge to me. You have an EXCELLENT EAR by the way!

Praise God, for you brother you have an amazing gift,I play by ear also and my challenge has been understanding chords and what parts to do runs on as far as phrasing while playing.I find myself repeating the same things at times, do you have any advice you can share if you don't mind.
