How much do they charge for customs on a JetSki? The full $150 same as a small boat?

I have ridden from Boynton to West End and also from Boynton to Walker's but with a chase boat. There is nothing as fun as having a ski in the islands. You can go fast for very little gas and you can go without too much concern for grounding.

Nice job sharing this with others. When people hear that I rode to the Bahamas on my ski they think I am crazy.

I have a 28 ft Bayliner that we use to take all the time before moving to Arizona. You will be fine - you need to decide what is your relationship with your engines? That is the important part. If you trust them you should be good to go. Just make sure you have a self inflatable raft and an EMS in case of the worst and you will be good. It is a great trip. Bring tons of sunscreen, drinking water, extra sunglasses, and cash. Go with a group of boats on your first time.

Nice trip. I would have loved to see the cuise ship crew's reaction to seeing jetskis 40 miles offshore. What was the plan if one of the waverunners broke down? Could the others tow it? I guess you wouldn't want to abandon it.

Wear an EXCEED rash guard next time. It will protect you from the sun. We are going to wakeboard from Miami to Bimini.

Yes, you need your passport for entering at the Port of Miami and you will need it when you return to the Bahamas. In addition we have to pay $150.00 US for a cruising permit good for 90 days in the Bahamas... Good Luck.
