  • damn u got nice lookin oscars

  • That was bad

  • sweet birchir ur tank remind me of mindonly u have red oscar and i a have an albino and senegal birchir and convict wat do u feed them (oscar) iuse hakri cichlid pellets

  • How big is your tank (litres/gallons)?

  • that tank was 55gallons... their new tank is 150gallons (check out my newer videos)

  • niiiice oscars defently on my top 5 best looking oscar on you tube alot of people have oscars and there all whore down in a small tank but your fish look healthy and happy nice job

  • thank you :)

  • hey man is hole in the head always contages? i heard its not and still like those those oscars

  • Theres a lot of different views on what causes hole in the head... as far as i know its not contagious and can be treated with keeping very good water parameters... generally if discus or oscars (and lots of other cichlids) get HITH its becuase the water quality is bad

  • ya i got my oscar witch head looks fine other than those tiny black hole to sence vibrashions at a place thatys had hole in the head but the guy said it was healing

  • yeah those are the sensory pores and are perfectly normal... HITH will infect these sensory pores (kinda like acne on humans) and they becvome large and filled with pus... make sure the water quality is good and remove uneaten food (as oscars are very messy)... maybe beef up tyour filtration or use additives like zeolite and activated carbon in your existing filters.

  • thanks man thing about it is you can never be to safe unless you over drug them.. but ya i had a feeling that those tiny black holes were sensory pits but you can never be to sure thanks

  • how do you clean the sand?

  • i just use a hose and siphon the water out the tank... if you hover the hose above the sand it will pick up any loose debris and leave the sand behind ;)

  • thats a really cool setup, ive got the same sized tank and the same filter is it ok if i borrow a few ideas from you like where the roots are and the pipes. im also very interested in oscars but do you think it will be ok if i got other fish before i get the oscars or can i get the oscars after i get the other fish i heard they can get really agressive and its best to introduce everyone on the same day. thanx

  • thank you, of course you can decorate in the same way :)

Id reccomend white riversand as it really gives it a great look and is clean... id get all of the fish together as babies and grow them up together... oscars that are kept on their own for a while tend to not tolerate other fish, so its best to buy a group of youngsters together and get them used to living with other and smaller fish

  • how old are those oscars ?

  • They are about 2 years old now

  • is that a spotted rafiel catfish?

  • its a hybid synodontis... looks to be a cross between a cuckoo & leopard syno... but not 100% sure... :)

  • whts that white eel like alligator fish called?

  • thats a polypterus delhezi which is a birchir :)

  • very nice..This is the new set up right? What is the pipe/tunnel thing underneathe the driftwood made out of?

  • no thats the old 55G tank...

The pipe i bought from the hardware store, its a section of gutterpipe.

~I covered it in silicone and pressed tank gravel into it so that it dosent look as nasty.. itll look better hopefully as nature takes it course :)

  • Dude you got the sickest fish...You ever have any accidents with them? You got the best fish i've seen. By accidents i actually mean you ever get bit or anything.

  • great song, finished up in your fish tank by the end of that, brilliant.

  • thanks mate :)

thats massive attack (the artist who did the track)

  • very nice.

  • do you know how much silicone you used to cover all the pipes?

  • I used loads... Put down a bag, poured gravel into it... Then smeared a thick layer of silicone onto the tube... Afterwards I rolled the tube in the gravel which stuck to the silicone.

I had to leave it for a couple of days to dry though as the silicone was very thick

  • I love the Keyholes!@!

  • cheers... yeah they are sweet and i love how the oscars dont bother with them... had the keyholes for 2 years now so thats about how big they ever going to get

  • Pimpin!! that seems about right in my opinion :) They also seem to be slow growers :)

  • cheers mate

  • love the tank and the oscars how do you feed more than just the oscars tho i once had a convict that was with my oscar and the oscar just stole all the food

  • thanks mate :)

  • yep

  • are those small shells on the pipe?

  • I got a drain pipe from the hardware store, washed it... then put on clear silicone (smeared it all over with a gloved hand)... then rolled it in aquarium gravel)... its darkened a lot now that algae has grown all over it

  • Wow when I take out the bloodworm my Oscars go nuts!, I drop in a frozen cube they eat it whole, then you see floaters coming out of their gills and thats when the Convict comes in as the clean-up crew.

Nice pair of Reds, cant wait till mine get that big.

  • looks good man they want some shrimp not bloodworm lol

  • man i love your tank... keep it up m8

  • cheers :)
