Just do it. Some people were meant to be riders- it's in their blood. Ride responsibly and show your parents that you took the extra step with the MSF. If you ride like EVERY single person on the road does not see you- and avoid them- you will be fine. You still might have close calls however- it is the nature of the beast. Been street riding/ all weather for 24 years with no collisions.
@fastislandred Thanks for your outlook- Yep im just going to sit them down and tell them this is my decision and im making it, out of respect for their household since I live here. If they say no well then I'll have to tell them I wasnt asking lol
and man, just buy your bike and take it home. Your parents will have to get used to the idea that millions of people ride bikes all over the world everyday - it seems scary because most times there is an accident the rider is hurt, but that's the risk of riding a bike. That's the risk of anything in life. Just be safe and responsible and they will have to get to grips that this is something you want to do in your life. Go for it buddy! :)
@blinkycab Thanks a lot man. This is filmed in Santa Monica, CA @ SMC (Santa Monica College), this is one of the motorcycle parking spots and its FREE! I have to pay $80 per semester to park my car.
I plan on doing what you said if they arent supportive of my decision when I sit them down.
I think u bought ur bike new but, I am not sure how to purchase used vehicles (xfer titles slips etc) maybe u can explain someday in a video for the new riders! thanks and ill be watching!

I told my mom I was getting a motocycle and her response is no. I then said that I was letting her know and that I was not asking. Having an argument about it with my parents are pointless, it was not going to change their mind. I've read from somewhere

@drdanielzz thats a good quote man. Thats the way I see it. They only have some pull on me because they are paying for my college but...I am pretty sure im just going to sit him down and say I am going to do it. If he wants to kick me out so be it. I thought he would try to help me be safe as possible rather than keep telling me of motorcycle crashes he hears on the radio.
