the emerald city is really made of bronze or copper, the original wizard made the people that entered oz wear green tinted glasses that made everything appear emerald. he said that they protected your eyes from the radiant glow of the emeralds. don't believe me read the wizard of oz.

this is so odd to watch.... i love it, but its sooooo odd hearing english people sing the songs! Ive been to a few american performances of wicked and i guess im just not used to hearing every word so precisely sang. I love idina !
