i fly every week from chicago to detroit for my business, and i choose american eagle. the flights are rarely over 30 dollars, and i havent had one problem with the service.
It is quite incredible that the actual airlines have all but disappeared from domestic flights. Find me ONE domestic trip that is not subcontracted out to CHQ or Republic or Mesa or Atlantic South Eastern and the long list of small airlines. And they suck. I actually feel pity for the stressed and stretched flight crew who actually work in these crappy little planes.
I only get to fly on an actual United or Delta or American flight when I travel internationally.
No dout, every time i have flown with them it has been an enjoyable experience and they know customer service. however i always get a slight headache from the smell of these planes.
I don't see how people can dislike American Eagle, everytime i have flown this airline it has been thouroughly enjoyable. i have flown it frequently in and out of Dallas-Ft. Worth Intl. with very few problems.
Depends what you do w/Eagle. Flying for them its one of the more stable companies to fly for without having a high turnover rate. Same w/SkyWest. Sure, the pay sucks but i'd rather get crap pay and a semi-"stable" job than great pay and your right back out on the streets flipping burgers for $6.00/hr with a 4 year degree...
As far as I can remember, N807AE had too many problems. Has anyone heard that the plane might be haunted? I know it sounds weird, but, I might tend to believe that.
Also beboeml, i know why you think they suck. I know about the American Eagle plane crash in puerto rico. It wasent the pilots fault, it was the plane.
nice...ive only flown em once, but i got a job interview with them tomorrow! hopin to start workin for an airline early, so i can move on as a pilot for AE in about a year
@krispykreme82603 ,did you get an answer? i have a job interview this week, wiht American eagle, for Passenger Service agent, Im 33 female, what questions and right answers can i give? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)
@kylietwain I've been working with eagle for about a year and a half now. It depends on where you are applying. It is nice to know a little history about AMR, sound enthusiastic about working in the airline industry, and make it sound like you specifically want to work only for Eagle. just be relaxed and you should do fine. good luck!
I'm interviewing in Los Angeles, Ca. for Passenger Service Agent. How many interviews before the training?Im supposed to contact a lady on the phoen to schedule the interview, it will be in group, there will be 2 sessions:at 10am and 1pm, i gotta choose one, plus I have to take 2photo id,'s and transcripts from high school , ged or college, the e-mail says i must be prepared to spend several hours. (why so much?)
@kylietwain i work at an out station. i applied at the right time because they were extremely short staffed, so i already had the job before the interview. Eagle is thorough in hiring, since you will be working around aircraft and in a secured area, they need to know who you are...and eagle is a totally separate airline from AA
Will they make me lift heavy stuff? Is Eagle kinda same as AA? Someone told me they will read a story or airport customer situation, and then paraphrase what i just heard. is that true? I really appreciate your help!, i want this so much. thanks :))
the interview was @ LAX this past Friday, passenger services & operations mgr, with his assistant and lead station agent. 5 applicants including me, all sitting at a long table in the boradroom, facing them (the recruiters), 8 questions in total, one at a time, in rounds, 1 round per question, things like what do u know of AE and why do u wanna work here? how do manage stress? how would u respond to an irate passenger? etc.
they said there have more people to interview, and 1FT , 1PT position, ..they'll let us know by phone or mail..i dont know whta to expect..anyways..thanks krispykreme82603 , for all your advice.
hi, i applied to PSA, i think they look for good character, fluent n natural when talkin to passengers, so id reccomend to prepare your answers, u know the typical questions, try to point out at your strenghts, specfics like: im bilingual, i'm good at dealing with ppl that r irate or have special needs, ..dont lie but "sell yourself" n go to bed early the night before so you're appear relaxed n upbeat the day of interview :) good luck
nice.....I worked on American Eagle aircraft from 92 - 95 at Raleigh Durham Airport, and again from 97 - 99...........damn, sure miss it..........thanks for the video.....GREG
First of all, you should be much nicer to a grown up woman that is proably odler than you.
Secondly, there is very few eagle planes, and youve probaly never been on one of there planes.
Thirdly, you should go back to kindergarden to learn how to capitalize the first word in the sentence and make them actually have full detail and make them understandable and readable. That looks like English alright, but to me its gibberish. So, you suck, go back to kinder-garden, and fly one of there planes!!
No he's right; Eagle does suck. *shudder* N807AE is a maintenance nightmare, Make a wish? ok I wish that plane wasn't here. By the way I think you meant "you're"
I fly American Eagle from San Juan, Puerto Rico - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic very often and I have to say that its really a good airline. Much better than American Airlines although they are from the same company. Flight Attend. are always nice and at least in San Juan I havent had any problems with it althought in Dom Rep two flights have been delayed. Im not very happy with American Airlines service but defin. I will continue to fly American Eagle
they use them to connect to large cities basically as feeders. sometimes the case is insufficient passengers to fill a large plane. i get what you are at though. i flew on a crj-700 from montreal to atlanta, 2 1/2 hour flight. then had a connecting flight on a 757 which was only a 1 hr 10 min flight. pretty strange.
True that... Especially in Miami where nearly all the Eagle flights are international and they even have a flight, direct, from Miami to Cozumel Mexico on an ATR turbo prop!
i rode in an american eagle plane from des moines iowa to washington dc and the only bad thing id say about it, was it was kinda loud, but it was pretty fast trip, lasting about 2and a half hours
@Jeffgoalie. sounds like a great company to work for. i have a job interview this week, wiht American eagle, LAX. for Passenger Service agent, Im 33 female, what questions and right answers can i give? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

@witcherdude people just like to bitch or bring a company down for the luxury it offers or doesn't offer.
its the human nature to do that. takes a bit of realization for them to understand appreciation.
