  • Hahahahah My Theater Group Is Doing This I Got Called Back FOr Sarah And Ellen

  • my school is doing this! i'm sarah :D

  • george isnt good or bad. i love the way this actress is playing Sarah!!!! :D im playing Sarah for the thespian society one-act festival, and i was having trouble. i think that this is helping. thanks for posting this :)

  • edward is good but sara and and ellan they should have studied more. :]

  • the ending was the best on this part.

  • The guy that played George, is awesome. I wish I had a judge that new this play when she judged us. She Thought I Really didnt know the lines. I was so good she thought i was horrible, I guess?

Make sure this doesn't happen to any of you wanting to perform this. I loved this play. I could have killed that judge.

  • I personally liked this one, I'm acting as Henry in this and I'm following this Henry's example closely. I've enjoyed it very much already.

  • this is absolutely horrible.

  • I'm not too fond of this interpretation... I do like your Henry though. I feel that Ellen and Sarah don't understand the sophistication of the characters they are playing and these are actual actresses of the 19th and 20th century England. I know they are suppose to overact at bits, but they are trying to get through the play. Not a fan, I'm sorry.

  • Well Ellen and Sarah are understudies in the play but Henry should be more Shakespearian

  • @crichard8

You don't understand. Ellen Terry and Sarah Siddons are REAL people. They are real actresses from the time period, so is Henry Irving. Henry Irving and Ellen Terry did many plays together and Sarah Siddons is famous for her Lady Macbeth role. They are all playing REAL Shakespearean actors of the time so they should be sophisticated. I know they are understudies in the play but they are very good actors, all three of them.

  • I know that I do understand I'm just saying Henery's character is more fitted to the stereotype

  • @MidnightsSecret i do understand I'm just saying henry's character is supposed to more fit the stereotype

  • I enjoyed this version much better than any of the others I have seen posted on youtube. Thanks for letting us see it!

  • I am playing Sarah in this. I think that they did a good job, however I don't think that the full extent of the akwardness of the scene was established enough.

  • what these girls didn't keep in mind was the actual play. noel coward is very civilized and sometimes the girls push the line of too much.

in this play, you can't see any sort of fear at all in george.

he is a tough character to play, because you have to find the right balance. you know george is related to the theatre because he knows private lives, he knows a beckett peice etc. but he's not an actor. you have to find the right balance between fear, confusion and comfort.

  • I'm not so keen on how this is performed. Although since I'm startign a two week run as george on wednesday I suppose it just bites me in the arse everytime they miss one of the little physical or vocal touches I added to the character.

  • I am doing this play. its not the best this version but its a hard play, I understand. Georges Monolouges been killing me lately.

  • im henry irving in this and its quit fun

    hmmm yes

  • i am doing a monologue of george like right after when the girl leaves and funny thing is that part is NOT there grrrrrrr

  • yeah, I mentioned in the info on the 1st part that my dad filmed up until the monologue, but didn't get any of it.

  • Wow. Talk about not having a character. Devonbites, you're right he really needs to realize that he has NO idea whats going on.

  • Why is george so NOT timid, shy, or feeling INCREDIBLY out of place? that's the whole point of this play. His character makes him seem like he's totally cool wiht what's happening. this could be done alot better.

  • I'm acting in this, I'm Meg, We (the rest of the cast, and I) looked at this, trying to see other ideas. I dont like it either. George in this is far to calm about everything.

And I dont see my character as being as angry as she's portrayed in this. I'm not fond of the directors interpretation, at all.

  • God, this is pure piss

  • i'm not too crazy about the guy who plays george

  • I'm playing Meg! *Le Gasp* I'm kinda dissapointed in the actress who plays Meg in this... she has a nervious sway thing. . . kinda distracting. . . It sounds horrible but, are they really in collage? *hides*

  • i get to be george and im just memorizing the monster monologue near the end (its killin me)

  • Ummm. Overacting. Overacting. So very much overacting. -_-

  • It's supposed to be overacted.

  • BS. Overacting should NOT be a goal in a mature interpretation of a play.

  • No really. The play is WRITTEN to be overacted.

  • No, it's NOT. I've DIRECTED this play before. Even humorous farcical plays should have sound motivation. The motives aren't silly to the CHARACTERS.

  • I'm directing it right now too.

Guess it all comes down to interpretation, eh?

  • It's a poor interpretation, then.

  • I agree with chatnoir... Fyerflower interprets it differently that chat and the director who did this piece. Both interpretations can produce funny results, I think.

  • Don't blame the actors. The director told them to do it that way.

  • waha. How cool. I played Meg for this play at my school. Wow...it's cool how different actors act this. :D

  • i'm in doing this play now, as well! i play Henry, the Hamlet guy.
