@MsAlex1944 he had a girlfriend, sara i think, who was his first love and he was with for 1 1/2 years, but he was always faithful to her, and she went with other guys, did drugs and shared needles and died a year ago before this all happened. Joan locks Keenen in her car and he tells Joan he can't let her love him because he loves her and then unlocks the door and runs out of her car.

Dennis character is in a art/theater performance class. He has to make up believable character in different environments. That why the black lady is following him around. Reason for this crazy twist is (denis) wife ( grace) think her husband is boring with no imagination.
