I'm not really into blue grass but there is some thing about this song I like. I dont know if its the fact that I can relate to the lyrics or the banjo or the vocals but I know one thing, this song is BADASS!!!
It is correct that Union station is actually singing the song, but to those that don't know, this song is actually a very old one that was written many years ago and just remade over and over over the years.
My Father wrote a screenplay about the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. As I understand, This has been a passion for actor, John Turturro. My email is Julianna.Pontious@yahoo.com. Thank you.
one thing about this kinda music...you sure as shit can't get it out of california or newyork....lol...it's deeper down than all the crap they put out nowadays.
Nelson and fellow actor Chris Thomas King both sing their own parts in the movie; however Dan Tyminski, of Alison Krauss and Union Station, provides Clooneys singing voice.
Very Cool..to establish something for real.."Reality Is Within The Power of The Mind!"..a Loving Heart if You Dig this..ain't it funny, in the movie, how prophecy was about Man!..Feast, Famine, or Flood!
I love stumbling across fun stuff like this - and oddly I found myself living "in the deep south" as an adult (didn't plan it) - there is so much truth to this satire.
One of the best movies ever made its in my top 5 ...... watcht this movie .many many times shown friends and know its theres top 5 too .ofc u most like this kinda music tough
down in texas and a bit farther east we say "hooooweeee" and "good god lord ha mercy child.!" and that's when the damn fine biscuits come outta the oven!
love everything about this movie. my fave is when they show all the stuff floating in the water and the dog goes by in slow motion. hehehehe
This film is the bomb, never met anyone yet who didnt think it was awesome too. The soundtrack is one of my faves and I collect OST's.. I tell ya if I could build a time machine these are the days I would head to, then I would destroy the confounded thing..
At the end where the blind guy yells "Hee-Hah that was some mighty fine pickin' an' singin'" its strange. West of Iowa the people say "hee-ha" and in the South they yell "gol durn".In Ny.City they say "I can get it for you at wholesale price".And in L.A. they say :I'm just doing this cuz it feels good".
I love this song. When I first saw the movie "O Brother Where Art Thou?" I thought George and his buddies were actually singing this song as I had never heard it before. They do one heck of a job pantomiming this one. I've seen this movie many times, even have it on DVD, but never tire of it. Daniel, you've done a wonderful job putting this video together. Thanks so much for posting it. - Paula (Kentucky)
