They are delicate and shy. Humane live-traps would be a good way to move them away. Keep cereal,cookies, pet food, rice, etc in glass or metal bins, or the fridge, so the mice will have to look elsewhere for food and leave on their own. This will reduce roaches, too!

@devilmo666 You tried Havahart traps, right? I've had good luck with those - especially the old fashioned ones with a door on each end. Try a do-it-yourself pest control store if you ever need one in the future. Should safely trap them without harm.

@PinkBow180 Despite my efforts to sabotage them, my parents lay mouse traps in our house. I've tried making non-lethal traps without much success, and can't really order them online. It's really a shame, but it's not worth all the trouble. They actually have caused a lot of problems in my house too though.

Take a big bowl, put a stick in the bowl and set it up like a fall trap, tie a string with cheese to the stick, when it pulls the cheese, the bowl falls, trapping it, put air holes in the bowl before hand. Then you got a new pet ! But this is 2007 so its long dead

@devilmo666 i caught mice with my own device, called a box, toothpick, foil, cheese, string, set trap in dark next to ur bed with foil used as the sounding device, pretend to sleep, hold string in ur hand attach it to the toothpick with a broken end to balance up the box soon as you hear the foil, pull the toothpick via the string and whala!

@devilmo666 You tried Havahart traps, right? I've had good luck with those - especially the old fashioned ones with a door on each end. Try a do-it-yourself pest control store if you ever need one in the future. Should safely trap them without harm.
The older I get, the more I value life and will go out of my way to never harm an animal, even if it's a so-called 'pest'. There are so many people now, there's not much room left for wildlife. Thank you for trying.

Calm the fuck down. Mice are cute.
Find out where they get in, and close the hole if there is any. Put traps that catch them. Not the kind that kills them, since often it just snaps on part of them and they die slowly in pain. Put mouse poison out in proper places.

And theres been poison put all over the place and " sticky traps " put all over the place. i kept catching them and catching them and i don't like to have to catch them when they should not be getting in in the first place. the previous people didn't seem to care but i do.. i didn't think that mice were this big of a fuckin problem in this place.

o good god. I have a mouse in my house right now....my parents tried catching it while i spazzed now i barded my door up in my bedroom and im staying in here. im THAT scared. funny thing is i'm the one that found it. I was in my family room and i saw it scamper by on the top of my fire place and i was like CRAP and i RAN fast it was pretty funny. and my brother doesnt know so i'm waiting for him to come home and be like THERES A MOUSE IN OUR KITCHEN xD
