  • Would you be able to make the tree waterproof so you can semi-submerge it for pets like newts?

  • @sagekit123 yes, just cover the section (to be put in water) with aquarium grade silicone sealent.

  • im gonna make a tree frog habait and is a 25 gallon enough?

  • @57lavasurfer it should be.

  • Verry nice project amazing artwormanship..is it ok for ball pythons sheeding??

  • @TheWeldingWizard should be.

  • Now I wish I had save all those foam from the computer boxes... lol

  • do you sell the stuff you make cause i would love to buy one just like this and also can you submerge them in water like if i want to put it in a turtle tank

  • @ImClueless627 at this time I do not sell them. You can submerge this if you cover it in a layer of aquarium grade silicone sealant. Check out the waterfall videos I've done.

  • I subbed you can you sub me back

  • Will this work for a crested gecko?

  • but will it be still 'scratchy' (i hope i said it right xD my english isnt that good sry) but u know if my snake wanna shed she still can right?

  • ur so good man..

1 question, why do u have to seal eth? i mean this thing wont be touched by water at all so..? i just dont know why the sealing thing for...

  • @arsenaly9 you want to seal it because it's much easier to clean their poop. You also want to seal it to make sure it is nontoxic.

  • Holy Cow man can you teach me!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • you are really talented in seeing how it could look! have you thought of selling ?

  • watching your other videos I was thinking, wow a tree with roots should be impossible xD

  • is any grout ok, or is there specific one that i should use

  • @NekoKittyAnzu I use non sanded grout, but any grout should do.

  • @LizardLandscapes Cool Ty :D

  • wow

  • What type of leopard geckos are they and how much are they?

  • what do you use to colour the grout?

  • @nat50866 either cement color or acrylic paint.

  • That is foul good and but it is brimfull hard.

Yes or No request for a reply .

    By sincere regards MaltiLuca123456

  • Where do you buy the styrofoam for all of your projects

  • @geodes123 Home Depot.

  • wow my lizard's not nearly that active dang!

  • how much does this cost to make please leave answer back on myn home page

  • @megalizardfreak it really isn't that expensive. Cheaper to make than buy, it is just time consuming..

  • wow that thing seems hard to do..

  • hello i was wondering if it would be ok to make something simliar to this for my bearded dragon? thanks

  • @LizardLandscapes Thanks, your work is amazing by the way!

  • can a panther Gecko eat a Centipede? house hold Centipede that is

  • @xpatox7 Not sure on that one.

  • @LizardLandscapes kk thx anyways :l

  • i make my custom hides out of legos, i have a castle with a window and stairs leading up the top where theres a hallowed half log..it has a sniper :D but i do wanna start doing stuff like this

  • ok thnx ur the first person to actually tell me why to seal it

  • why? what would happen if u didnt?

  • @whokabowie It could break down over time and release toxic chemicals. It's also waaaay easier to clean if it's sealed.

  • do you have to use a sealant?

  • @whokabowie Yes.

  • ur a beast, in a good way :D

  • hey im new to this can i use grit instead of grout plz help me i dont wana hert my gecko

  • You can use pretty much anything, grout is usually the easiest to work with. As a last stage you seal everything up with a non-toxic sealer.

  • @LizardLandscapes so i can seal with an acrylic sealer right and thnks for the help

    im geting started right now

  • Some acrylic sealers might not all be non-toxic (different additives), so make sure the product makes a point of saying it's non-toxic.

  • @LizardLandscapes so could i use glue and water because glue is a sealer and its not toxic

  • I use Mod Podge all surface sealant which is also a glue. If you're going to submerge a structure in water you'll need to use aquarium silicone or research marine epoxy.

  • @LizardLandscapes thanks it helped a lot and i wanted to tell u that your gecko is really pretty

  • Dean likes this lol

  • can you wipe lizard poo off of it without harming the tree ?

  • Yes, I use a combination mixture half water half white vinegar -and sometimes an old toothbrush.

  • Love the tree. imma try to do some thing similar but with a hollow tree stump and roots. ill send in a video response when i do it.

  • amazing color and that first leo what is it ?

  • It's a tabby Leo

  • i think a bell albino

  • Fantastic work! What glue do you use to fuse the styrofoam together?

    Cheers,

    Phil and Deb 818

  • I have been using Loctite power grab, it's similar to liquid nails.

  • Great Video! I built a rock wall for my tree frogs using your method. It worked great. However, I am having extreme difficulty finding a non toxic acrylic sealant thin enough to spray on. Where did you find yours and whats the name brand?

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  • It's called "Shields All". There's a link in my FAQ page on my site.

  • can you use sanded grout

  • You can, it's just not as easy to work with as non-sanded grout is.

  • would theese possibly work for hamsters

  • awesome.

  • can you use hot glue?

  • You can use any glue.

  • Where do you buy the grout

  • Home Depot

  • hey, do you sell your products? because i would be interested in buying one instead of making one

  • Unfortunately they're just too time consuming to sell at reasonable prices.

  • could i put it in an aquatic newt's tank? if so how would i get it to sink?

  • If you're trying to submerge it in water you'll need to use a waterproof sealant like aquarium grade silicone. Then use aquarium weights to hold it down.

  • okay thanks!

  • Hi im thinking about purchasing a lizard, either a bearded dragon or so type of gecko. I have watched all your videos and this one is by far my favorite. So i have a couple questions for you.

-First how much do supplies cost?

-Where would i buy all of the supplies?

-Is it better to buy it or make it?

Please get back to me. I love your projects. They are so creative!

  • Supplies will run you about $25-$45. My website has a list of the supplies, where to buy them depends on your area. If you're like me you'll end up spending a ridiculous amount of time on a project like this, which might mean it would be worth it to just buy it. If you're going to make the tree make sure you get an expert climbing lizard -like a gecko.

  • I was going through a box at my house and discovered a box with some styrofoam in it and purchased the grout at my local A.C.More, It only cost me 7 dollars. I am currently making a rock. I also found some styrofoam coolers at Dollar Tree that i can use to make a tree. Im not as talented as you, but Im going to try.

  • Oh yeah...I am going to get a leopard gecko.

  • Hey what is the brand and and color of the cement coloring you used?

  • Quikrete brown

  • do you mind if i make things like that or would you clicefy that as copy right?

  • Go ahead and create, all i ask is that People send me a pic to post on my website.

  • ok ill send you a picture of it once i have grouted it and painted it.

  • u have painting skills!

  • i wanna try that!

  • it's amazing work.

  • nice bell albino and carrot tail but dude u should reall sell those in pieces were all u got to do is glue the pieces to getther if u cant male them whole

  • that looks awsome

  • I'm just testing if i can comment

  • hi,

how long are you waiting before applying each layer of grout?

or are you just waiting until each layer dries completely before adding the next?

    Thanks

  • Usually I let each layer dry overnight. But, I think you're good if you let it dry for at least five hours. This all depends on how thick the layer is.

  • this is cool ya if you could make some more jungle/forest style vid that would be cool

  • woah men youre pretty good with this my gecko will love his brand new fake tree

  • I thinking of getting a Leo and this design looks quality. You should do some more jungle styled projects, like a rope bridge or something.

  • nice gecko!!!!

  • can I bye this

  • coolest freaking thing ever bro!

  • that is amazing

  • To bad my artistic skills are limited. The first time I did this, my building collapsed!

  • Awesome! I love your work, I was wondering if you were going to do logs as your next project this is sweet! I want to do some of these but sadly I can't find any flat pieces of Styrofoam I have a 40 gal tank and some leopards waiting for it.

  • You can find flat styrofoam at Joannes Fabrics.

  • u have two good looking leos my man

  • how many hours did this take?

  • Roughly 25hrs.

  • damn u should be extremely proud of your work

  • wow that is awesome i so want one lmao i always post on your videos this ... keep up the good work and cant wait to see the next one

  • So you did say you were sending that one to me right? LOL I check the mail and it's still not there, I really do wish mine turned out that nice...

  • That's insane, and awesome, i want to buy 1 from you as i know I'm not capable to do it myself.... is that possible?

  • Unfortunately they're just a little too time-consuming to be able to sell at a reasonable price.

I will entertain "offers I can't refuse" though.

  • i have a chinese water dragon can i make one of these for him?

  • Yes, you might need to scale it up though. Your water dragon cage would have to be fairly big.

  • ya we just made a cage for her n him that is 6 ft high 3.5 ft deep and 5 ft wide

pretty big with alot of empty space just want to make somethin to cover it all up. thanks

  • U guys, I got a bearded dragon, wut u guys suggest for next lizard?

  • Great stuff man... Can't wait til I move into my new place with a garage in a few months so I can try some of this out. :)

  • as always ur a genius. keep em comming!

  • damn that was cool how many reptiles do u have

  • Another project I can't wait to try out! You have the BEST ideas. Thanks for posting this great video!!

  • u shud go pro and make and seell stuff

  • he said b4 that it takes way to long to just make 1..so it would be to hard to create them in mass..... i bet though

  • Great idea! Will definitely give it a try.

  • great work!!

  • Can you mist the shields all on it and get the same effect?

  • The consistency it comes in is thin enough to work it's way through a spray bottle.

So it doesn't need to be watered down.

  • Wait what does that mean?

    lol

  • ive got loads of adhesives but i, just wondering dose it matter if it says that it melts polystirene

  • You don't want it to melt polystyrene. I've used

Mod Podge, liquid nails, and loctite. Elmers would probably even work. Normals glues(like Mod podge) just take longer to hold.

  • i cant find anything like 'liquid nails' that dosen't melt polystirene! dose that matter?

  • I've been using "Power Grab" by Loctite. Works great.

  • how long does that take u? all ur vids r good btw =]

  • These take too long. Roughly 18 to 28hrs. The main factor is having to allow for "drying" of

    certain sections.

  • unbelievable! best idea ever! U rock..keep up the vids! 9:34 well spent!

  • nice!!

  • awsome u rock man!

  • thx dude ive been waiting so long

  • awesome!!! u must spend hour on building these things

  • That was awesome!
