cuz the mangas are as random and filled with distracting MOE as the anime is... this is why you have to look really close to see the hints but they are there i have seen them and im not blind either

There's actually a bit in the OAV that makes it a little clearer there's more between them than just friends. When Kagami says "I want to _____ with Konota" She was still half asleep though, so it was mumbled and you don't actually hear it, but Tsukasa has to leave the room because she's blushing so much.

Then there's a part in the Anime where they go to a Haruhi Suzumiya Concert and Kagami switches places with Konata so that she can see. Which shows how much she cares for Konata since now she can't see, but she doesn't even seem to care. Mainly because shes smiling and watching the look on Konata's face.

This pairing has lots of backing in the Anime. However I hate Kagami, but Love Konata. Haha. ^_^
