Why Corpus Christi Texas?

Yes, Corpus has its' negatives, BUT so do all the other cities in the world. Try downtown Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

You forgot to add the pictures of the trash flying in the wind, the 300 dirty diapers in every parking lot, the homeless people smoking crack outside the librarys, the 120 degree heat index on a daily basis, the gangsters shooting and stabbing each other dauly, the complete lack of economic development, the 900 drunk drivers on the roads at any given time, the roads that are filled with thousands of 2 to 3 foot deep potholes, and any number of horrible things in this "city". Worst 15 years ever.

The water there is filfthy and all you see is minimum wage grunt industry workers. This makes for a town with a bad attitude. The people there are mostly wetbacks (every person has fammily in "the Valley"...basically Mexico). gangster wannabees, single mothers...complete stagnant economy...pitiful excuse for city!

So true. I havent lived there in 3 years, but I still get dragged back there about every six months or so when another family member keels over. This "city" Is one of the worst places I have ever lived in my life.

I'm from Corpus and I'm glad I left after high school graduation. Roy Miller High School 1993. Even knew Eva Longoria and didn't think much of her then or now. It's like all the dudes there have the same haircut and does the same thing for fun, since there isn't much to do down there to begin with. Bucaneer Days, Blue Angels, Whataburger, quiet dark nights, the towns going nowhere.

I used to live in C.C. from '88-'94--while serving in the Navy. It always had a laid-back feel to it. The one thing I didn't care for was the weather--too humid. Overall, i liked it, but not enough to stay after the service.

@13GhostQueen13 Yes the city is beautiful and deserves 2 be taken care of, and it looks like it is bein looked after very well. My fiance and I have been visitin CC alot and we will be movin there within the next few months. Its growin and really shinnin. It is a diamond in the rough. The urban look is startin 2 show and shows the city's potential.

@JazzzzBaby If you ever go back to Corpus Christi may I recomend For food and a great view go to Scoppys and Snoopys it has a great view and food though it is not Tex-Mex or BBQ it has great seafood at Snoopys and after you may want to get some good desert at Scoopys or just grab a snack from a peanut butter bananna to a strawberry and orange salad.By the way they are right next to each other its right by Market37 .I also know great places to go for fun the Texas State Aqurium.

@BoredAsHeckInTexas i lived in corpus my whole life... i wish i could say something else but corpus has nothing to offer... our streets are severely messed up, our beaches are dirty, and has nothing fun except Century 16 Theaters and La Palmera Mall
